No pressure then!

Do they not realise just how hard it is to come back from this league?

To come back as Champions we would have to keep the better players in the squad and add about seven or eight. It ain't going to happen. What's the betting we try to do things on the cheap and save money?

David Sullivan said that we may get 5 or 6 players.

If 5 or 6 players go out on Bosmans at the same time.......can't work it out. Must PM wisel, he's good at figures..... :D

I thought this was a April fools joke(being a late one). As much i like reading about Gold and the board are saying i am sorry to say,Please! Wake up and smell the coffee. I would be happy just to get back the follow season,no matter how we did it.

I see this as part of the 'ultimatums' that is being directed at SB for Next season.

Surely for the 'Bruce out brigade' it's good news - he is not in the top 2/3 come October he'll be out the door.

I think it is another poor statement form DG. This sets us up for a fall, I cannot see the positive side of the statement, other than what should be an internal private statement which forms part of SB's objectives for the coming season, and the cause of his departure if he is not on track for that position by October, as already said.

I muach prefer the words coming from DS, yet again.

DS is sick and tired or arrogant, skilled, highly paid players not puting in the effort, and rightly or wrongly names Sutton, Melchiot, Butt and Jarosik as players who will not be here. Fighting talk. Personally I would have excluded Jarosik from that list, but maybe that is because DS has far more info than I do. I am absolutely behind his sentiments.

I agree, i would rather see more comments or statements from DS right now....

Its a bold statement to make from DG. While the intention is good, the reality is far different, and when you consider DG was the man that said we had our best squad in years and an established side in the Premiership, you wonder if he's talking everything up too much once again!

He can throw plenty of money at rebuilding the side in the summer, but it won't gurrantee anything in the Championship. I take it he's forgot that we will be considered as the team to beat by everyone we play next season. Every game we play will be a cup final for someone else, so thats just going to make our task a lot harder.

I would not doubt our ability to gain promotion or be champions. I just hope this summer is not another one of words but one of actions.....

DS is sick and tired or arrogant

personally i think he's both!

well if Gold's words don't inspire the likes of Sunderland, Baggies, Wolves and whichever 3 teams that are left over from the playoffs then nothing will.

we're going to be a big scalp for many teams so we'd best have the squad to be ready for them!

Absolutely no chance with this manager and coaching staff. Striskers that don't miss too many chances; midfield that never supports the strikers. "Must not lose" attitude. Hoddle's defensive outlook failed for Wolves: Bruce's will too.

Championship defences are prone to individual errors, (IF PRESSURISED). We never take the game to our opponents so never create the pressure.

i'm sick about hearing our players saying "if we can keep this squad toether we can make a push for a quick return"

with heskey firing em wide from 3 yds out and taylor making the perfect "statue" in the centre of defence and izzet helping himself to the clubs coffers they look like a bottom half championship side....

doesn't matter what league you're in....you gotta score !!!

we never have been and never will be....prolific in front of goal under bruce !!

I'd be happy to finish in the top half on the league next season! Just look at how Leeds and Leicester struggled when they went down.

The championship teams will play their best against us as we are the biggest team to go down this year. They've played the Baggies and Sunderland fairly recently but us... we've been in the Prem for 4 years so they'll see this as there big match of the season, especially when coming to St Andrew. I think we can expect quite a few home defeats, and if they all come before December and Bruce is still in charge then he's 100% gone then!
