Continuing to pick two defensive central midfielders, when they only pass sideways. Leaving better passers on the bench.

Continuing to pick underperforming high earners hoping they'll turn things around.

Relying too much on loans, temporary contracts (mercenaries), who then leave. ...and money is wasted. A bit like renting a house instead of buying. Money down the drain.

Failure to add another quality defender in two seasons.

Continuing to play players out of natural position.

Lack of adaptability to opposition.

Unable to generate any alternative set pieces (or is that Mr Black).

Hoofball.

Fixation with hoofball, and his reliance on it.

....and lastly are you going to back him in the transfer market Mr Sullivan? To get the players he wants? If your not 100% behind him, then show him the door.

We need to rebuild. Not patch of the cracks. ...and these cracks have largely appeared, due to our reliance on loans the last two years. We fill the void one season, make these siginings permanent, but cannot patch up new cracks.

Boils down to 3 issues, imo...

1. too many regretable transfer dealings

2. failure to develop any effective goalscoring tactics

3. outfought too often by sides with superior fitness and/or commitment

You forgot point 4...massive over-expectancy by the fans this season.

I woulnt say it was massive over expectancy from the fans! The board were more or less promising that this would be our best season yet and we would finish in the top half. Many of us wouldve settled for mid table but relegation?

There you go...massive over-expectancy. You expected us to finish above sides like Everton, Charlton, Middlesboro, Fulham, ManCity and the Vile...established Prem League sides. Why?

Because we had our best-ever squad.

Our manager was on a contract that put him in the top four.

He was the England manager in waiting.

Optimistic ?

Of course we were. :(
