what happened to Blues not letting anyone go - perhaps Mr Gold can advise us. there is not even a statement on the official website!

this club is fast becomming a lughing stock - firstly an inept board and an even more inept manager manage to get our "best squad for 25yrs" relegated to the Championship. and if that wasn't bad enough they let go a perfectly good defender, who might have struggled in the Prem, but would have done a brilliant job for us in the Championship!

but all the website can report of is "fantastic deals on season tickets"!

shocking!

He could have seriously contributed this season, either through playing or part coaching/playing.

Now we definately do not have a leader on the field. A big emphasis is on a vocal captain and leader.

Kenny's finished, he's in the past, we needed to move on, and one can only hope the winds of change keep blowing, Heskey and Martin Taylor next, followed by Kuqi and a neck-a-neck, photo finish for numbers 9 and 10, Izzett and Clemence!

THE best Free transfer in the Clubs History (Just shading the Free signing of Julain Gray) ;)

Mr Consistant, you could count the bad games he had on one hand. He would have been superb in the Championship. I cannot believe that he's been let go out of choice, we should have put a 12 Month contract straight on the table. Disgraceful Decision..........................But, I fear, a sign of what is to come :(

He was told he was not needed any more.

How does this tally with him being in talks? He would have simply been released with the others, rather than chatting about the future.

In the end I believe it was Kenny's decision not to play on.

I think it is disgusting that the club has not yet officially notified the fans through the website of Kenny's departure. Surely by now it would have been fitting for them to thank him publicly for his service and to wish him well.

As I said earlier in the thread, I bumped into him at the gym, we had a chat for about ten minutes.

Kenny did not seem upset at the departure, although he said it wasn't his decision directly, he did say he was contemplating ending now anyway.

thats what i dont understand , it was taken out of his hands and SB did want him to stay so i can only presum it was at board level that the disision was made.

i would'nt have thought he was on realy big wages and i do think he could of done a ggod job in the championship.

i have heard that he wants to go into media work.

I heard that he wanted to stay but they didn't want to keep him??? wtf** "no"

I really believe Kenny could have played a big part in strengthening the back next season. He leads the back and would be a fantastic mentor for the young lads coming through- you just don't pass up this experieince!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very very sad!

Also, why haven't the club issued a statement on this? Does our most important player for the last decade not deserve some respect???
