They are in trouble and they damn well know it.

I will still not partake. Long-term commitment requires long-term faith, and I am not prepared to make such a pledge of financial support at the moment.

Our club has been run into the ground, and I have to have confidence in the measures taken to rectify the situation and to get us into some sort of shape for a tilt at promotion.

The clearout that has started meets with my approval, but I want to see more.......A LOT MORE!

What irritates me most is that they have decided to respond to the legitmate complaints of season-ticket holders, not by COMPENSATING us for the subsidisation of casual supporters, but by tying us down for years to come.

The minimum for me was free cup games, and a price decrease for season 2006/7. This, along with their suicidal retention of a proven failure in Steve Bruce, sends out a message to me, and no doubt many others, is that it is business as usual.

Not impressed. The money will stay in the Kelly bank account and I shall attend on a match by match basis until I see that they really have taken what has happened seriously.

I'm disapointed not to see early cup rounds for free. But you can assume that these matches will be no more than £10 each.

Why would anyone go for Option A ???

It seems that you get a smaller discount on year 2, have to pay 3 years up front and with option B you still get the price freeze on year 3 if you choose to renew for that one to.
So basically have to pay an Extra 5% on year 2 and pay for 3 years up front, surely the discount should be greater for people paying for more up front !?! so option A should have a 25% discount and B a 20% one ??

Maybe i'm just reading it all wrong ?

I certainly wont be able to afford to pay for 2 or 3 seasons upfront !

That's right Marky, it is tall order for a vast majority of loyal fans.

The reward for being a loyal season-ticket holder should have been provided (in full) for season 2006/7.

The 2 and 3 year strategy smacks of gambling with people's loyality and cutting and running with the cash.

from what i can gather opition A is a one year season ticket but they will reduce the price next season ifyou want to renew, where as opition B is for a two year season ticket with a bigger reduction, i think?

I'm not sure it can be much clearer.

Option A: you get a guarantee of the price for 3 years, but you only pay for one season now - you must do this by June 18th.

Option B: You pay for 2 years now, getting a bigger discount in season 2 and the price of the 3rd year guaranteed. Again you must do this by June 18th.

Well i've maxed on my credit card, and tried to transfer balance to another one, but strangely got rejected, so no transfer balancing for me.

I'm not impressed with the season ticket offers so, pay-as-you go for me.

On the one hand, people want us to get a bunch of young hungry quality players to get us out of the championship.

On the other, people are expecting a discount on their season ticket. It doesn't add up!

Our income is dropping by £17million, which OK can be offset by releasing/selling a few players.
Well we've just released eight - they need replacing don't they?

what happens if we dont get promoted next season and we buy option A

we look right idiots still paying £495 for next season then a further
£410 for the following season whilst the club brings back the kids for a quid and £10er at the gates

the owners have quickly forgotten that this club wasnt getting 20000 fans through the gates with the exception of local derbies before being promoted

we be lucky to get over 16000

the owners should reward the fans loyalty, to think myself and thousands of other fans have spent thousands watching poor football for the best part of 2 years and still shaft us by offering pay on the day for less than the season tickets

the club shold get off their high horse and realise we just a normal championship club next season with strict financial restraints, why should we be financially blackmailed into comitting into several years of football based on the managers incompetance !!!

it should be pay at the gate next season and if fans want season tickets then so be it, dont take the mick and require we pay over £350 a season ticket based on the last 3 years

I will be renewing without a doubt, plus I take my 7 year old brother with me and now he only has to pay £99 which is great.

One thing that should have been done though was to make it £99 for ages up to 16 plus students.

The offer of 20% off next season, (I cant afford to pay for 2 season tickets now!), is also a great offer because if we do manage to get back up my season ticket will be around £410 :D

Well how lucky are we?

I thought that the club would try to pull a sneaky one now we've dropped down a division. But no, they have frozen the ticket price. Taking into account inflation that's pretty much a 1.5% price drop!

Nearly as good as the 50% price hike on promotion!

I have words too strong for this forum to describe how I feel about this kick in the teeth. Relegation didn't hurt half as much as this. In fact, relegation didn't hurt at all. I've been there before. As it goes, I liked the atmosphere at St Andy's before we made the top flight. The ground was hardly ever sold out but it was always noisier. I was looking forward to experiencing that again. I was looking forward to the fight again.

As someone who first went to St Andrews 29 years ago, I won't be stepping inside that ground until they credit us fans with a bit of intelligence.

It's sickens me to think that the board, management and players who are all very rich, exepct working class people to go without holidays or other treats (in some cases necessities) to service their inlfated wages for what can only be described as a poor return on investment. This has to be the worst value ticket in the footballing world.

If the club wants to charge a premium for their service, they have to offer a premium service. We didn't get one last season, and we're hardly going to enjoy the elite of world class football from clubs like Southend next season.

Nope, I'll check the results and hope to catch us on the box. But for live footy, I'm off to Bescot Stadium. I won't feel the same kind of passion having been a Blues fan all my life, but I will be getting value for money.

What the hell, it seems like they are dressing up the fact that we are having to pay some of the highest prices in the prem for championship football, they must think we are stupid.

Why isn't there a students season ticket? We need it the most, are folks are fed up of giving us money and we cant get our own, grrrrrrrrr.

We were 11th in the Prem for Average season ticket prices at the start of last season. I posted a link in another thread the other day.
