Your damn right our money is important to them! The Premiership Money, the TV money - ALL GONE! How do you think they are going to pay for players? Interest free credit?! Lombard Finance Direct? They need fans cash like never before and I'd be more concerned if they'd slashed the price as it would show they were preparing for championship mediocrity. The bottom line is; if you want us to have a fighting chance of returning to the promised land, we will have to pay for it. |

They are clearly expecting us to take a leap of faith on all of this and playing on your loyalty to the club. Well.... its a 2 way street and I want to see what's coming the other way. In other words just what exactly are the club going to do over the Summer in terms of the squad and a serious push for promotion. If it happens then fine but they won't see the colur of my money until we see theirs! |

So i am being asked to pay £475 for me and £237 for my daughter to renew, for next season. with 20% off if i renew the season after. Sorry Blues not good enough before i commit to paying out this amount of money i need a few questions answered such as. Looking at the teams competing in the Championship this coming season, which games are going to be; a) kids for a quid, b) kids for a fiver, c) reduced adult prices "ie" £10 and £15 games? You are asking me to pay premiership prices, so can you tell me when we will get some indication from the club on which of our remaining premiership players will still be here this coming season.. (I note with interest that WBA have already stated no players will be sold) |

I guess it's a case of chicken and egg Willie. We need some early indication of season ticket take-up before we can get a bigger idea of what we can afford. They could promise player x y and z, them not come, and then we'd all be moaning that the board conned us. I'd have thought the fact we'll so very rarely be on TV would be an incentive - not even foreign TV covers the Championship, with the occasional exception on French and Albanian telly. |

Birmingham City......the Kings of Spin!!! What a load of ****. We have a "PRICES FROZEN FOR 2006-2007!!" slogan.....................as if its some kind of privilege to be paying (for me) £579.50 for Championship football. Its the same prices dressed up to try and confuse us with political spin. By the way are we going to be charging £25-£45 for each game on an individual basis next season? The place will be empty. |

Sorry maybe i did not state it too well, but i want to know which of the players we have now will be staying?? My biggest concern is the reduced prices for games. If i pay the £475 it averages £20.65p a game for me and £10.30 for my daughter. so obviously i need to know what games they intend to make into the above price catorgaries. as they have obviously already worked that out. I need to calculate if its cheaper to renew or by tickets per game.... |

I have watched the Blues home and away for many years. Last season season ticket holder were ripped of by the club, now they again are conning the ST holders. I will not be conned this next season. I will not be buying 2 season tickets. I will after many years of suffering watching blues, have a rest, then I may pick my matches. But I will not pay Premiership price to watch teams in the fizzy pop league. |

I like my seat in Block 5 for the view, and most importantly the great group of lads and ladies around me. For me, It is a big decision not to renew, sitting somewhere else other than the seat I've had since the Tilton was re-developed won't be easy. I would have renewed whatever the Division for this reason, all I needed was a touch of encouragement, £100 reduction for example, something to reward me for paying up at the time the Club most needs me, to show me that I'm more valued to the Club than the "cut price offer Gang" (No offence to anyone who waits for these games for financial reasons). Sadly, this announcement doesn't even come close. £475 is too much for Championship football. As if Southend and Colchester at home wont be "Kids for a quid" Or "£10 for adults" or even the classic "Reward" for a season-ticket holder " Bring along a mate and he can get in for a Fiver" I'll be picking my games next season. |

Can't agree more man. They've all gone round the houses, up-the-spout and back round the alley on this. We, as a club have 2 years parachute money. We pay Blues Prem prices for one year. A reduction on the second year. And current Blues Prem prices for athird year??? If there is a logic behind this, it means theres a plan. 2-Year re-building ? Financed by the guilible in the this year ? If it all blows up, all of us taking out 3 year Sts may see a MASSIVE A HUGE REDUCTION in year 3. When we go nowhere. How many of us are going to come back and say, " "I only paid for 3 years because I thought it a bargain - now its only £200 in the Kop ?" Pay match by match, is my advice, if you have mortgages and kids. Big deal to drag them out on a wet Tuesday night, to see Sarfend man. Blown it Karren. :( |

I am willing to gamble that all home game tickets will all be available 'on the day', and that the average price per game will be between £15-£20 per game. That will save me anywhere between £88 - £190 over the course of the season. If there are many £10 games, i'll be quids in. My guess is that I'll be able to stand pretty much where I want for most games. Plus, I will have the satisfaction of knowing that I am not being taken for a mug by multi-millionaire owners who have watched this club surrender it's top flight status with barely a whimper. I admit I have fallen for their spin and lies in the past, but not this season. It is time for me to make a stand. |

That's rubbish. We paid for it this season and got nothing. I ain't giving my money to be mis-managed all over again. We got to the Prem on championship prices before, and now we have gone down to the championship on premiership prices. The ST price doesn't control the quality (as has been proved this season), the quality controls the ST price. Gazza |

"They" being the guys who are unwilling to put any of their own one billion pounds fortune into the club. Yet we are being asked to pay over the odds for championship football. |

adult prices are a joke i agree, but from my point of view as a 19 year old it looks good, concession now includes 16-21 year olds according to that pdf, so my ticket has gone down from 513 to 261 :D KRO |

You could say the same of virtually any club chairman of a Prem/Championship side. I think they are working to a set business model. If it can't stand on its own two feet it's hardly a business worth having. They do dip in occasionally. Dugarry was a dalliance of theirs - now if they can do that again........... |

The 16-21 concession prices are for full time students in that age bracket (and you have to prove it when you pay) |

As you started this thread. And have had ample opportunity to discuss it..... how about it. Could you explain....HOW you are impressed, other than having a 12 year old & supporting Gretna etc etc etc....How are you actually impressed mate? You can see us all ripping our pockets out trying to justify supporting blues against damaging our families. Its a crucial choice to most of us, and this year, this relegation year, we have been treated as if we are Arsenal or Chelsea yuppies. The vast majority of us work in low-paid industry, if we can ! More are going on the scrapheaps tomorrow. As you mentioned in another caring thread. Where do we find the money? How we we go with our kids ? We are talking Southend here.... Do you really think this is a good deal, or are you just showing off and playing it big man ? :( |

It’s a no win situation for the Board – whatever the decisions made the majority on here would not be satisfied. Football is very important to most of us; likewise supporting our families financially is non optional. So the discretionary dollar is all the more difficult for the club to attract from the fans. But it’s essential to fund a genuine promotion bid. And a significant price reduction devalues the brand making it impossible for BCFC to balance the books given the limited ability a Championship Club has to generate serious non football revenue. Clearly the club will loose ST holders as a result but the decision looks to be the best one for BCFC. Hopefully those that can afford to will renew, others will support the club on a game by game basis, others through merchandise or whatever. But to suggest you will boycott the club due to a director, manager or whatever is short sighted in the extreme, ultimately who ever plays in a BCFC shirt needs to be supported by all of us. |

Not all owners are worth a billion. Very few are & they tend to be the guys who invest some (not much as a %) of their wealth into their clubs. We have somehow managed to attract billionnaire owners who act like they are skint. I appreciate the business model argument, but businesses do not have to break even year-in, year-out. Sometimes the smart move is to invest for growth. BCFC could be a profitable business with a midtable Championship side and with gates of 16,000. BCFC could be a profitable business with a top 6 / European side and with gates of 40,000. The difference ? Vision + investment. |

It amazes me ! They expect us to pay premiership prices but those there next season will not be the premiership fans ! I'd bet by the end of last season, at least 25% of those regulars who cried with TF as we tried and failed were priced out of the ground ! More were moved to make way for corporate business ! Those fortunate enough to be able to afford the high prices, did so with a struggle ! Season by season as our premiership life extended, the older fans were priced out, and the percentage of corporates increased ! Now those corporates will half as they wont be such an attractive day out in the Championship, subsequently, those extra corporate packages created at the expense of the ordinary fan will have to be filled, and they'll be reduced ! After all, theres a whole department dedicated to doing just that ! For the four years that times were good, the club refused to sell new concessions anywhere in the ground other than the family stand , which meant that any regular anywhere else in the ground who now had a child of supporting age, was forced to move seats in order to get them in, or pay full price ! I ended up with two seats in the kop where i'd always been, and two in the family stand , it was the only way to get 2 adults and two kids without ALL sitting in the family stand ! But why would the club worry , it was more prime seats in the kop to flog to the better off premiership crowd ! Now it appears, new concessions are available in ANY part of the ground again , how strange ! Not everyone will know this , but mid premiership the consession age changed as well, went from 16 down to 15 and bingo , another killing from the club as the teenagers became adults a year earlier ! The atmosphere suffered and stuttered, but all along the road the premiership crowd grew ! WELL BIRMINGHAM CITY, YOUR PREMIERSHIP CROWD HAS GONE NOW AND WHAT YOURE LEFT WITH IS THE BLUES ONE YOU HAD BEFORE ! RATHER THAN WORRYING ABOUT GETTING THE SAME PREMIERSHIP MONEY OUT OF THOSE LEFT, TRY WORKING OUT HOW TO GET THOSE YOU PRICED OUT BACK IN ORDER TO AVOID THE EMBARRESMENT OF ALL THE HALF FULL GROUNDS YOURE LIKELY TO FACE WITH YOUR BIG CLUB ! Pay as you go for me next year, and if its to high, i'll just line the away clubs pockets as i always have ! |
