Okay... so everyone is blaming everyone, but the one fact that remains is that the board have backed our manager with millions of pounds and also been loyal to him right up until the end.

When Bruce has wanted a player he's usually got him, and the wages too. If Bruce had spent all these millions correctly then we would still be in the Premiership and possible where Blackburn are now - in Europe. The board wouldn't have done anything differently if that would have happened, they would have simply backed their manager with money and support - exactly what they have done.

We all used to think Bruce was the right man for us in the Premiership and indeed he was for a couple of seasons, although without the boards money we would have been relegated straight away.

Sullivan has his outbursts we know, but don't you think he has the right. He rebuilds our ground and pumps millions into the club (imagine without him they'd have just put seats over the old knackered Kop shed). When we lose 7-0 I think he was well justified to say what he did.

David Gold is a gentleman, it's plainly obvious to see. Karren Brady has turned our club from a mess into a stable financial outfit. We are lucky to have such owners. Villa fans must be amazed that we are moaning so much at them when they have to put up with Deadly 'do nothing for a decade' Doug.

Bruce has surely got to go now, and from the boards statement they don't mention anything about the manager. I think they know themselves now that we need a change. They will change the manager and then will carry on and support the new one with money like they always have.

"Better than Doug"

Damned with faint praise or what ?

I've been a big supporter of the board, but the facts are inescapable :

- the board run the club

- the club is in a mess

- the board are accountable

Hold on a second. KK has not exactly blasted into the board, he's basically said they are not as passionate about the club as maybe they should be. He never blamed them for the fitness 'utopia' either. That sort of thing should be being pushed by the manager.

I think are board are great but they once again over-react and do not address the valid points KK has mentioned.

poorly run club, cr@p manager, two owners who have opposing views on our plight, if it moves - it's sponsored approach, season ticket prices held despite relegation....yep, pinch me cos i'm feeling lucky!

instead of defending himself and his reputation i wish Sulky would get off his backside and put Blues back on the footballing map, something he has promised but failed to do since his arrival.

Crikey, I didn't know that. I didn't know that Sullivan and the Golds paid the wages and transfers out of their own pocket. I didn't know that they rebuilt the stadium out of their own pocket.

Crikey, all this time I thought it was our money. The fans that buy tickets and merchandise. All this time I thought it was The Football Trust grants that rebuilt the stadium (well upto the bit where we have to pay for a chunk of it).

Crikey, and I thought the loans that we have from various porn mags/papers and knickershops were only there as a gesture. Didn't know we pay huge sums of interest each year on them.

Crikey, and I also thought the Sullivans and the Gold's paid for their own travel, and bought their own seats. Didn't realise they also sidestep the law against directors being paid, by having nomination rights to various companies of a few million each year.

Still, they deserve it don't they. They've put in so much.

And taken out....what would you say? Less, more.... :D

Now that a lot of you can actually see the possibility of a future without Steve Bruce.

Try thinking the unthinkable. A different board ?

:D

I agree with every word StaffsMark.

And it is cheap attacking KK in the way that the Club has done after he makes measured (if damning) comments. If DS wants the success he claims will have to speculate more than he has. If he does not trust the manager, get rid and back a new one.

Anyway, I don't accept the bull about investing millions and millions. Much of it is in loans and equity.

.. oh and let's cut the cheap sponsorship of c*ap like 'sock-a ties' and bookings (for God's sake!).

If the board knew anything of what Cunningham is saying then they are as much to blame as anybody.

Pretty sure that the loans are interest free. The board have mentioned them before.

If they didn't know they were negligent. It's their job to know.

blusabre, all the stuff i referred to is public knowledge friend.
I'll look some links up when I can, but in the meantime, go back to the old threads shortly after the accounts were published.

In the meantime .....These might help, but you have to look all the stuff up yourself, I can't lead you to each page friend.
