I can never get too upset about kit manufacturers/designs. A football shirt should only ever be worn on match days (except if you're under thirteen). Wearing them on holiday/to the pub/ when shopping/walking the dog etc is just chavvy.
I wear my shirt almost everywhere and last time I checked I am over the age of 13 **thumbup

Love walking in a pub over in North Birmingham wearing me Blues Shirt and have done loads of times **thumbup

Theres a pub in Perrry Barr for example which has a big Vile crest on the back wall behind the bar and I dont half get some hostile looks when I go in there :LMAO: (will be in there Sunday). Theres another vile pub in Erdington that I go into wearing me Blues shirt, fekkin love the looks I get.

Been out this morning in me Blues shirt, will wear it when walking around the car boot on Sunday, I wear it everywhere.

Have to be a bit more careful when it comes to wearing me EDL shirt tho

Patrick supplied us through most of the 80's

Matchwinner supplied our kits for the longest during the 80's then Patrick, then Adidas....just to be pedantic ;)
Not quite right

Adidas 1980-1982
Patrick 1982-1986
Matchwinner 1986-1989

I wouldn't be surprised if they have sold more STs than us as well.

What's your point Parti?
I guess the point I made was that they don't seem to attract bigger clubs......Maybe I should have thrown in the two Manchester clubs or Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal so as to not confuse you so much

That's exactly how I worded it

But you have to jump in head first again, don't you ?

What the Hell do ST sales at Charlton or Blackpool have anything to do this topic.....and if you'd bothered to read my post carefully, I did actually mention these two clubs had already ditched Cabrini some time ago

Oh ! and the Bournemouth kit for this coming season is absolutely horrible .......Hope they can manage a better design for Blues .....Seriously

I guess that was the point .....Now, next question, who did that horrible pink away strip of ours from a couple of years ago ? If it was Diadora then Good Riddance

You can count 89/90 as well :D Although they only did two different home kits each so that doesn't include sponsorship changes and those nasty red socks that Patrick came out with. Still got the Patrick Ansells top somewhere...........it doesn't fit though!!!

Other than kids its very tacky wearing footie shirts particularly on hols, I saw a what looked like parents with three kids all wearing Liverpool shirts with 'Justice' and 96 on the back, while away in Feb, typical scouse chav's.

On the main topic, I actually think the Macclesfield shirts look ok but in the grand scheme of things we have far pressing issues to deal with.

My old 'Fly Be' shirt from 2006-ish still fits.......I've lost some weight..... so there's one nauseating, thread killing poster on here can now aim his 'Fat' comments elsewhere .....or preferably shove them where the Sun don't shine

Totally agree about the nasty red socks though ........Never saw the point of that , some kind of Glasgow Rangers influence crept in there

In fact, I've never been a big fan of red kits Blues have worn over the decades although the Penguin away one wasn't bad .....there was even a red one during the mid 70's with two white stripes down the middle instead of the standard single wide one

Be interesting to see/feel what the actual quality is like. The Diadora material was excellent.

The worst material was the Xtep stuff a few years ago, the home shirt especially was horrible.

And Lonsdale, now that was truly terrible. Come to think of it we have had some pretty awful kit manufacturers!

Me too!!

What an anti-climax.

But at least it gave Lowdown the opportunity to indulge in his favourite pastime!!

Sorry Lowdown I'm mistaken your favourite pastime is talking about Lowdown. ..zz.. ..zz.. ..zz..

I thought 'Carbrini' was some cheap Italian plonk!

Cant say I'm any kind of an expert on brand names of football kits and I'm not bothered whose kit the boys are wearing so long as they give us 100% while wearing it.

Absolutely agree Bluediver. It just lacks class seeing a grown man wearing a football shirt other than down the match or in a leisure centre.

I wear them at work on the building sites. Surely that's ok. They breath better than normal tshirts and I sweat a lot at work

I sweat a lot actually watching the Blues especially the last few games of every season

Seriously though , I don't have a problem with grown men and women wearing a football shirt......it simply shows that person's loyalty

At least progress has been made because back in the 70's and 80's there were many grounds around Britain where you would be just asking for trouble wearing your club's colours , let alone the actual 1st team shirt

Visiting a few grounds in London and other hostile places like Vile, Cardiff, Wolves, Leeds and Stoke could lead to a problem if you or your group managed to get split up from the rest
