Found this from HITC Sports (make of that source what you will) Birmingham trying to sign Mark Little Birmingham City are interested in signing Mark Little, after the defender’s contract expired at Peterborough United this summer, reports suggest. Little is an attacking full-back, who impressed in League One with Posh last year, and it is thought that Blues will have to compete with Bristol City if they are to secure his signature. Little actually went on trial at Birmingham last summer, but ended up extending his contract at London Road rather than moving elsewhere. 25 year old born in Worcester Right Back who has played at LB started with Wolves youth team from where he was loaned out to various clubs until failing to retain a contract from the Wanderers which he never-the-less secured for 3 years with his last loan club Peterborough United, which has now expired. The 6 foot Midlands defender made 112 appearances in his three years for "The Posh" scoring 3 goals and providing 15 assists! Edited by Engleman, Jun 21 2014, 12:36 AM.

As 6ft Mark Little was use as a Left Back at Wolves, now after rejecting his new contract offer with the Posh, he could be being poached as a backup for 6ft 2 Jonathan Grounds who has been signed to replace David Murphy with an obvious use as RB which gives the attacking defender down either wing a certain flexibility in a player that Lee Clark favours! 3 goals and 15 assists for the Posh ain't bad! http://www1.skysports.com/football/player/7841/mark-little Know nothing more about the lad, but the more I think about him the more I like the prospect of him! **thumbup Edited by Engleman, Jun 20 2014, 10:29 PM.

Blues currently have Eardley, Caddis, Spector, Grounds, Hancox, and Bell at the full-back positions. David Edgar has also played a number of matches at RB in his career, and Reilly deputised at LB last season as well… The defence doesn't require any further additions (imo), but if Clark wants to spend his limited resources on another full-back, it's his prerogative. |

Yea on the money side it does seem a step too far even if Mark Little is a former England under-19s Right/Left Back attacking defender. Its has been reported that Lee Clark upped his offer to land Clayton Donaldson - subject to medical - So where's this money coming from...? :silence:

Just realised Zigic's £60K divided by £5,000 = 12 new signings! :D So if Lee Clark gets his 10 targeted players then there's £10,000 left over - enough for an extra attacking defender who can advance down either wing to provide assists, and a sweetener to land Clayton Donaldson who may well be our top scorer in the 2014/15 Championship season! If this comes off its job done, and I for one will be well-happy! :blues: **thumbup Edited by Engleman, Jun 21 2014, 01:37 AM.

And Zigic is not the only leaver. There must be another £20k+ per week reduction ; so we should be able to start the season with a significantly lower wage bill? |

Little had a trial with us last summer. I saw him play in the pre-season at Shrewsbury (which we lost). Fast attacking right-back but didn't see much sign of defensive abilities. Matt Green scored a decent goal. We still managed to lose though. |

Word is LC doesn't have the Zigic wage with which to deal as the club's overall wage bill has been cut significantly. |

Bit back-to-front that Mirkwood! - 'club's overall wage bill has been cut significantly', so 'the Zigic wage' avails into the constrained BCFC budget! Edited by Engleman, Jun 22 2014, 10:18 AM.

If we are going to sign another right back, i think this will mean Caddis being used wide right, Lee Peltier has been released by Leeds and would be happy if we could bring him in. |

Peltier's gone back to Huddersfield, and Mark Little has joined BCFC.... but Bristol City, thankfully. |
