Who would we like to see win now?

I'd love to see someone like Chile go on to win it. The French look great, and if Columbia had Falcao they'd be real contenders.

I've backed Argentina to do it though. :D

Netherlands (who i always predict to win everything); I'd also enjoy seeing USA, Chile, or Ivory Coast win… I've enjoyed watching France too.

I want to see Argentina win it.

I also like Chile and France.

I wouldn't mind seeing Holland going all the way...just to delay the manager going to Man Utd.

Brazil for the people that have seen their homes vanish in order to put up new stadiums etc. As a football fan without bias then Argentina as Messi needs it on his cv.

I certainly want much more for them than another World Cup… What have all the national team's previous glories gained them?

It would be like celebrating the storm that washed away your everything.

Agreed the people do deserve more than a World Cup but it will help distract them from further unrest for a short period at least.

Nice one Brad but did you notice that I said "all the way" and not winning. Holland losing in the final is the ideal.

The only problem with that is it means Argentina don't get to the final. In terms of who I would like t win then it's Argentina. Colombia are playing some nice football and I'll be rooting for them as well.

brad and lowds

imagine this though:

* After a disastrous 2013/14 season, man utd sack the manager who lead that campaign (this has already taken place)
* They then decide upon the Holland manager as his replacement (this has already taken place)
* Said manager wins the world cup on 13th July 2014 and all united fans give it the big 'un
* On 24th May 2015 the 2014/15 season finished with united outside of the top 4 - not even having a world cup winning manager brings them any success

How gutted would the united fans be then - be brilliant!
