LC said he hoped to bring in 10 new players before pre-season training starts at the beginning of July. With Donaldson's signing today that makes it 9 so far. So who is likely to be signing number 10? Any thoughts? Hopes? Wishes?

Ibe
Ibe would be welcomed, however i think Clark means at least 10 signings as in that what we own, i believe we will sign 2 further players as we have only loaned Grant Hall in albeit for the season(no recall) could be wrong of course, but if Ibe was to be number 10 i would be more than happy. Other players we could try for Stanislas (Burnley), Collision(West Ham) both available on frees would be decent signings imo...

Hard to say the club keeps everything under wraps as it should, hopefully will be another winger and then I think we're sorted

Does the 10 include loans?

I would like to Huws. What about that New Zealand forward we had on loan from WBA a couple of seasons ago? He keeps popping up here and there..Brighton? Leicester? back at WBA?

I doubt it'll be a loan player at this stage of the season. With Clark insisting on a 'no-return' clause in any loan deal, I don't think too many parent clubs would be willing to engage in such a deal before they can get players back in training to assess whether they can play a role in their squads for next season.

I've pasted the squad below. On the face of things, I think we've got the defence sorted. I think the forward line is looking pretty good too considering Clark favoured a 4-2-3-1 approach last season, meaning 4 strikers is probably enough.

As for the midfield, the wide areas seem well stocked and in the centre, Gleeson is a very good signing by all accounts. However whilst I like Adeyemi, Lee, Reilly and Reece Brown, I think a bit more experience is required in the middle of the pitch, especially as I don't rate Spector at all as a central midfielder.

If I had a choice, it'd be an experienced central midfielder who can dictate the tempo of play. Though finding one is easier said than done on a £5k budget.

Looking at the list of out of contract players on the pfa.com site in the positions I think we will be looking ie left side midfield, left forward or centre forward there is one name springs out for me Andrea Orlandi - released by Brighton. Looking to stay in England, but I would imagine he will have numerous offers and certainly more than our wage limit.

The others look like end of career pros or kids released. A few like Ngog, Ngoo etc are the right age but fall into the category of players who haven't yet lived up to their early promise.

As another poster has said the club rarely let slip now who is lined up before they are signed - Donaldson being the exception. Guess it's wait and see.

well I think it's quite disgusting that there has now been at least 8 HOURS SINCE WE SIGNED ANYONE.!!

I mean WTF is going on??!!

Barry Fry would NEVER have tolerated such a lack of effort.

Even though he was 7 at MK Dons, Stephen Gleeson would be my prediction for number 10; Duffy to get the number 7. **thumbup

I totally agree mate. I've said myself I think we're one centre-mid player short for a squad. Preferably with a bit of experience. I personally thought Wade Elliott could still have done another season as he could play anywhere across the midfield positions.

I could do a better job than some of these nobodys that LC keeps signing :)

And I reckon I couldn't do any worse than our current manager **thumbup

Packwood hasn't signed yet.
…and now he has

http://www.bcfc.com/news/article/20140626-contract-extension-for-packwood-1690043.aspx

Blues defender will Packwood has today signed a one-year contract extension with the club, plus an additional one-year option.
The 21-year-old American youth international's existing deal was due to run out at the end of this month.

Packwood, who joined the club's Academy back in 2007 as a 14-year-old, made 13 first team appearances for Blues last season.

He also spent a successful spell out on loan at League Two outfit Bristol Rovers, where he made eight appearances for the Pirates.
