At the recent supporters club meeting the topic of the PA system at Blues was discussed once again. There was a feeling that there had been an improvement, but it was acknowledged that there may still be 'dead spots' where problems still exist.

I would like some feedback (not electrical ;) ) from people on this forum about any problems that still exist. Please give details of where you sit and the problems you encounter.

I will then pass the information on to the club to help them improve the situation.

Many thanks **thumbup

There'll be no chance of wifi signals in there with all that asbestos and lead to get through.

Oh hold on, I seem to remember reading Blues don't intend to get wifi. How last century.

I believe Man City is the only ground with free WiFi throughout, Liverpool trialled in in one stand but it was very slow and have no plans to roll it out to the rest of the ground.

It was said at the meeting that Man City spent a huge amount of money on getting the WiFi installed in their ground - and it's been a massive failure.

Blues are looking at a new system which was trialed at Brighton (the guy that has designed the system is a Brighton supporter) and has been very successful. They were going to have a look/listen to the system and discover all of the ins and outs later this week. If it's thought to be successful, Blues will be one of the first clubs to introduce it too.

ps Besides which - the club have nowhere near enough funds to install WiFi into the ground. ;)

The sound in the tilton is shocking, its like an echo when anyone talks making it impossible to hear what is being said plus i think they hold the mics too close to their mouths so what they are saying is not coming thou good enough.

I still need more feedback about this to help the club improve the situation. It may be that the couple of areas mentioned as having problems are the only ones, but if you know of other areas where the PA system is poor, please let me know.

It's not been particularly good wherever I've sat recently, Paddocks it's inaudible, GMU (RIP) it bursts your ear drums, Blocks 4&6 isn't that good. When you can hear it, it just sounds tinny and of poor quality. To me it's a bargain basement cheap as you can get PA system from a Sunday car boot sale!

I wonder whether it might be best to wait until the start of the season, in case anything has improved recently and we've not been aware of it? Personally, I'm moving to the paddocks so my experience of the PA system will be different to Kop corner where I've sat for the last few years (and judging by some of the above posts, it sounds like my experience will be poor :( ).

The PA in Tilton/Kop corner is non existent however I do sometimes think that the announcer needs a bit of training with the mic as sometimes you can hear the guests.

That wasn't exactly foolproof. I remember a few occasions where teams were winning 9-4 at half time until somebody went back up the ladder to rectify it!

Would it have been easier to ask where the PA system is of good quality? Reckon the whole system was bought at some discount electrical warehouse!
