After that stunning win v expensive Man City on Sunday, BCFC Ladies take on Oxford Women (WSL League 2) in the Continental Cup. Wed 2nd July, KO 19.45 at Damson Lane. For the uninitiated ~ The Continental Cup is similar to the men's League Cup. It is the one domestic trophy that our women have not won yet. So interesting to see if we can progress. I'm sure there will be changes after Sunday, but the good squad should be able to cope. Her's a couple of interviews post Sunday's game you might be interested in: http://www.birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk/news/parker_on_his_table_toppers.html http://www.birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk/news/harrop_we_needed_to_be_ruthless.html Edited by Lewis, Jul 2 2014, 09:06 PM.

Pity there is not more interest from our fans in this superb element of the club. It is one way that fans could improve the lot of BCFC overall. |

Agreed - they are a real credit. I hope when we finally get new owners (whenever that is) that they bring the ladies more and more into the club to give them a fighting chance of competing longer term. It's depressing to see the likes of Man City throw big money to buy a league place over a more established club. What the FA allowed to happen to Doncaster was a disgrace. Anyway - I for one am converted to the Ladies team. They are good to watch. |

Good man. The light is sining through....hopefully. Worth remembering that our current owners brought the Ladies team within the BCFC fold, whereas the previous owners left them out in the cold. |

Yet another win for a much changed Blues side tonight at Damson Lane. Oxford put up a great fight and made a good game of it. A stunning free kicj by captain Karen Carney opened up the game in Blues' favour, and was added to by a more scrappy second later in the game. Well done some of the newer players tonight. Good show. |
