I have been Zigic biggest critic but I wish him and his family well, I hope they both players manage to continue their careers and good luck for the future.

...but only after he had leeched £10.14million over the last three years. To think how much quality Championship players we could have attracted with that pot for salary.

My word folk don't half dumb down that word legend.

The UKs becoming as bad as the States for bastardising the English language.

Zigic has been more of an enigma than a legend whilst at Blues.
He arrived an international player with a good scoring record and on very big wages.
He has divided Blues fans opinions almost more than any player I can remember. He has been occasionally brilliant, often injured, sometimes downright awful.

Posted Image

But he was the last player link to the best day i have had supporting Blues - 27th February 2011. So thanks for that Ziggy and good luck with the next chapter of your life **thumbup
So sad that the 18 players named that day have all now left just 3 and a bit years later.

Good luck to Chris Burke too - a very good Championship player and he scored some great goals for us. Cheers Chris.

Still, players, managers, owners, they all come and go eventually - the fans are pretty much the only constant with Blues.
Roll on the new season and the next set of players in royal blue for us to support (moan about/abuse/laugh at - delete as appropriate!) :D

Just a reminder for those with short memories.

Zigic's winner against the Vile in the Carling Cup Quater final was priceless, not only did it put us in the semi final it was a massive win against our local rivals - How much would you say that was worth ?

The Carling Cup win was our most successful day in our modern day history. Zigic's goal was priceless - How Much would you say it was worth ?

Bruges away was one of our most memorable away wins ever with some 7000+ Bluenoses in Belgium, it wouldnt have happened without Zigic, the two cup goals from Zigic were priceless, the home games in Europe were cracking atmospheres - How much would you say the Europa experience was worth because without Zigic it wouldnt have happened ?

And last but not least we would be starting League 1 football next month if it werent for Zigics goal up at Bolton - How much would you say that was worth ?

Yea some have very short memories indeed ;)

Most of my best memories involve Barry Bridges, Fred Pickering, Jimmy Grrenhoff, Trevor Francis, Bob Latchford, Bob Hatton, Kenny Burns, Frank Worthington, Christophe Dugarry and Mikael Forsell.

Then there are about 500 more players before I even start to think about the leech.

There were other players in our Carling Cup run and on the pitch at Bolton you know? Zigic wouldn't have scored in the final if it hadn't been for Roger Johnson's set-up and Johnson was vilified for leaving us when we got relegated - it's only cos other clubs realised Zigic wasn't worth anywhere near what we have been paying him that he has been happy to sit tight and not moved on sooner

How much was Zigic's awful penalty miss in Braga worth that cost us missing out on the next stage of Europa League??

Yes he scored 1 or 2 key goals during his stay but I'm afraid my short memory won't forget the over-riding memory of his stay - the many, many abject performances that he turned in and I had to endure

Yea but Zigic has left us today hence the debate about him.

You say without zigic it wouldn't of happened. How do you know that. We might of won it comfortably with a striker that knew how to find the net.

he was offered a contract which paid a certain amount of money - he chose to accept that. If you were in a position where you were offered a contract with good wages, can you honestly say that you wouldn't have done the same.

Zigic is a leech, what a weird remark!! how the hell can the guy be a leech, he has a contract from his employer.

Does that make you a leech as well because you have a contract with your employer?

Bore off
