This has been a great world cup with some very underrated players coming to the fore when it matters most.

Personally I have liked the Columbian number 10 he looks a real prospect surprised how little we knew of him prior the tournament starting.

I also liked a few of the USA team especially the right back including the one that replaced him last night.

There are a few more that caught my eye I will list them later if not mentioned by anyone else.

Well I doubt he's considered an unknown as he is a player at Bayern Munich but Shaqiri of Switzerland looked an awesome player

Arsene Wenger has been out in Brazil as a French TV pundit and he must have been really impressed by one of his very own young players at Arsenal.....Joel Campbell of Costa Rica who has been shipped out on loan recently as far as I know

The USA right back you mention is De Andre Yedlin, he's only 20 and plays for Seattle

Also, Carlos Sanchez of Colombia has caught my eye as well as James Rodriquez, he was brilliant in their win over Uruguay.....not really a youngster though, he's 28 and plays in Spain for Elche .....but I had never heard of him before

The USA right back Andre Yedlin, who came on as a substitute for Fabian Johnson, was very impressive.

According to this article Blues nearly signed both Rodriquez and Falcao when McLeish was manager

Food for thought, eh ?
