You are 85 years old and have lived in Salem, Oregon all your life and never travelled away for your holidays and one day (last Wednesday, in fact)..... You see this wet stuff falling out of the sky you have never seen before. How scary would that be?! Last Wednesday they had 0.2 inches of rain in Salem. The first time it has rained for 114 years! http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/HOME/ "On another global note, the 114 year record of no rainfall in Salem, Oregon fell last Wednesday as 0.2 inches of rain fell. Surely it cant be anything other than climate change that has caused this though? |

just a quick question if it hasn't rained in Salem, Oregon for 114 years before very recently how is this explained? Salem floods 1996 average rainfall, temp and snow etc. I think someone somewhere (maybe me) has got the wrong Salem or just the wrong end of the stick? |

Thanks TJDIXI, I couldn't be ar5ed to look for the stats, but was going to say that Oregon must be one of the wettest state in the US being on the North West coast. |
