bout this film the other day on ofer and i must say what a pointless film

the film does'nt have any sort of plot .

if your gonna make a war film lets have some action and not some bloke disapointed about not fireing his gun in action. yawn.

i'm gonna have to stop reading hype. tomatoes

But Jarhead was marketed as a documentary style film, therefore it wouldn't have a plot? That is certainly the expectations I had whnen I went to the cinema to see it, quite enjoyed it as a fly on the wall view of life during the middle east conflict. I wasn't expecting more, so certainly wasn't disappointed. Wouldn't be top of my see again list for sure, but not the worst film either. My only disappoinment was that you cannot really make a fictional documentary. But then the American way of fictionalising real life isn't exactly a new phenomenon either.

I agree, I thought that the whole point of the film was to show that even in a modern, media-driven conflict, troops spend an awful lot of time sitting around doing nothing.

There are plenty of films around with explosions in

i could of excepted it if there was something in it but there is'nt.

i like to watch factual films but this just bored me.

i tell you what i did find good in just a blow them up no plt sort of way . stealth

prity basic shoot em up but good CGI and fight scenes. **thumbup

One of the worst films I've ever seen.

The Mexican was worse though....truly awful.
