I'd hazard a guess that Koby Arthur is with the development squad and will prob end up on loan again this season.

He struggled to get in the Lincoln team. The lad has potential, but he's a very long way off being in the first team squad.

I believe Koby let things get to his head, and just hasnt knuckled down and developed like he should, and how the club wanted him too.

Whereas players like Demarai Gray earned his spot in the squads near the end of the season, by obviously doing good work in training and impressing, Koby struggled at Lincoln.

If he could copy Demarai's work ethic, then I'm sure we'll see more of him, could do with a loan move away where he actually steps up and shows he wants it

One thing that can certainly not be questioned with Clark is his willingness to give youth a chance if they warrant it.

not suggesting anyone was questioning it but for years its been one of my biggest frustrations that we haven't given our own players a chance.

Leaving aside the Arthur issue, it seems likely that those players who are in Ireland will make up about 90+% of the main first team squad for the coming season - apart from 1 or 2 exceptions, e.g. Green.

My first reaction to that squad is that we may have sufficient championship quality defenders but we appear to be short of good creative midfielders, we may be too reliant on wingers and, unless we play wingers as "wing strikers" we are very short (if in numbers only) on strikers, even including Green.

Why don`t we wait and see? As far as I know (I think) we can still bring in free agents or season long loans after the window closes.

it hasn't been Eire since either 1937 or 1948 not sure which.. proper title is Republic Of Ireland, but in actual fact its just Ireland as opposed to the province which is Northern Ireland.

BTw to our Irish fans, did you know that the Irish Civil war was 100% totally unnecessary! De Velara actually changed the original relationship with the UK which Michael Collins signed up for (and lost his life over) by an act passed in the Dial (the Irish Government)

I think there is an intention to play the quote: 'more attacking football' with what you call "wing strikers" and far more assertive attacks down the flanks and in the last third. Whether or not the players brought in can deliver that or not is as yet an open question, but we should all look forward to observe what the new style of play will be. For my part I hope it does come from attacking wingers, a far more exciting and entertaining game to watch in my view!
More like it used to be in the TF/Blues Penguin days of the early-70s :blues:

As far as KA and your midfield and lack of striker fears are concerned, I don't think Koby Arthur is ready and as intimated on another thread is that I think Novak may take up an in the hole supporting frontman role in more 4-5-1s next season! **thumbup

Clayton Donaldson really sounds up for it, i think he and Novak will do the business this season. Looks like he`s got the composure and caricature all goal scorers need.
