I know we've had a favourite tune list before, but i was thinking yesterday whats the one song that reminds you of when you first started going down the Blues?

mine would be Seasons in the Sun, i know it was a long time ago   it's by Terry Jacks, always reminds me of standing on the Kop with me dad when i was a Nipper. Of course it was then turned into a chant about having viler on the Run:lol:

so whats yours???

The Mighty Quinn by Manfred Mann. It reminds me of going down at the time Fred Pickering played for us. ;)

I can remember - "A whiter Shade of Pale" - being taken off halfway through.Honest.From the Pickering days I can remember Cinderella Rockafella.

I don't know if this is subliminal, but when I started taking the kids (when they were old enough) I used to hate one song. When I hear it now, all I can remember is hot afternoons, the long shadows across St Andrews from the Kop and about 20 people in the ground.(The kids had this obsession with being first in.) And that awful, interminable
Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks.

That track from the 70's played with a mouth organ, I don't know the name of the track but it was from 74 onwards.

I don't think it was, only ever heard it on BRMB/Radio Birmingham or down the Blues.

Remember many songs but one that stands out was 'Mr Blue Sky' - ELO ............I believe songwriter,ELO lead vocalist and self acclaimed Bluenose Jeff Lynne dedicated this song to Trevor Francis
