To quote that most famous English commentator phrase

"They think it's all over.......well it is now"

And we still 25 minutes from half time :LMAO:

Awesome, not even the second half tactic of fall down like you've been shot has worked for Brazil.

Even The Villa would have been proud of that kind of loss.....well, maybe not

7 freakin' one

I told you Brazil were overrated .......Pele and their other past 'greats' must be stunned beyond belief

Now come on Holland .....hammer those other rugged Latin Americans and just put three men around Messi all the time

Serious question

Do you think Blues defence from the past season would have done better than that ??

Oh leave it out , Boiler

That's blatant encouragement for another one of Lowhdam's "That's how McDross liked to grind out results.....0-0 or 1-0 ""

I do like to see lots of goals naturally .....but this was just annihilation as well as an iconic embarrassment that will stick in the minds of football followers the world over .......Once it got to 0-4 it was damage limitation for Brazil and the entire 2nd half resembled a training session.....there was a lot more effort from Brazil in the 2nd half but I have said all along that they got to the last 4 with the odd bit of brutality , some heart and passion which amazingly they seemed to have lost completely today , the woeful PK's of their opponents and a basic over reliance on their star player

I am glad they are out because the team that played the concept of total football and one that could organize itself well even in the face of a fiercely hostile crowd with the constant boos and jeers went through

Did they miss Neymar and Silva will be a prime argument from hereon ......May be a factor but even with the two of them I still feel The Germans would have strolled this

Fred and The Hulk and even Oscar have been by and large very poor .....Brazil were always suspect at the back even during the days of the legends .....but this was plain schoolboy stuff tonight

Brazil's going to be 3. or 4. in these games. It's not that bad, really. Goal difference doesn't really matter at this stage.

Perhaps not in regard to final placement, but that scoreline certainly matters to Brazilians… Host country, favourites going into the tournament, haven't lost a competitive match in country since 1975 (or 60 some odd matches), football is religion, etc.. 7-1 is an absolute embarrassment for them.

IMHO Brazil lost the favourite status by the Chile match. And even more with the Colombia match. After those two matches, even though they managed to get wins, I didn't see them as the no. 1 favourite.

But, I have to say, even this incident adds drama to the tournament. And drama in the World Cup is always appreciated. :Eng10:
