utter nonsense B25, surprised at you! the club has no value its the potential that's for sale. whether we had went down last season or will struggle this year makes little difference to value.

KRO
I agree to a point with what bnk and b25 say

Correct me if I'm wrong both, but I think what try are saying is:

Did they wish for blues to go down? No
Are they happy we stated up? Yes
If we had gone for. Would that have forced bihl's hand to reduce the price? Could well have been the case as there is only do far anyone can go before it's a case of cutting losses and moving on.

It wouldn't have been ideal, but it could have been a means to an end.

We are almost stuck in limbo now. We will be stuck in this league (or worse) until a buy out. Imagine if we scrape play offs and promotion this year. That joy would be short lived because we would have a horrendous season in the prem, maybe as bad as Derbys a few years back. We have nothing to play for but pride at the mo

Of course, another season of struggle will see the knives come out again - however, all BIHL have to do is pick up the phone to one of the interested parties, go through the motions of a sale, and wait for them to go public.

The fans optimism will be renewed, income will increase, and then BIHL disappear into thin air, swap the directors around, ignore the phone, and disappear.
It's been well documented that BIH do want to sell but they're facing problems with the HKSE. I see no reason not to believe that. They have no reason to want to stay any longer unless they can find a way of investing in us; from here on they're just reducing the value of the club while they're not and while we deteriorate. They will only end up losing out in long run, especially if we drop a division or two in the mean time. With no decent assets left and parachute payments pretty much finished I don't see any benefit in them staying if they're the ones having to actually put money into BCFC (which they currently are for day-to-day runnings). Season ticket money is just keeping us functioning. It's been noted by Mike Wiseman, that that money isn't leaving BCFC for HK. If an average season ticket costs about £300 for the 8,000 that the club say will be regular season ticket holders die-hards, that's only £2.2m in and prices would go down if we dropped a division or two. If wages are an average of 3k per week then they're already down for the year by a few million so I don't see season ticket money exactly being a deciding factor anyway. There's obviously sponsorship and other income avenues but a few million isn't easy to make up to break even while we're not in the Prem in them avenues, let alone get enough profit to send to HK worthwhile for them not to sell and risk their own investment even further.
I'm sorry mate; I don't agree.

This is nothing new. They've had problems with the HKSE since 2011 - hence why they were removed from it in the first place.

You say they are desperate to sell; however, how many opportunities have they had to sell this club? Paladini, Eales and now Wray along with others have been willing to take it off them; yet it always ends the same way.

There is always an excuse for not selling and now this problem with the HKSE is the latest one.

I'm not saying that they are lying - but these issues are a direct result of their poor business practices in the first place by not filing accounts and an owner now who is now behind bars.

Why should you, I, or anyone else connected with the club continue having to be led up the garden path just so BIHL can get the money rolling into the bank to keep their joke of a company going?

Personally, I respect your opinion. But I am certainly not going to sit here and swallow the "it's not their fault" argument why they can't sell. They gave us all a reason for optimism at the end of last season by announcing four interested parties and then they would go through the details with the preferred bidder and take it from there.

After the Paladini fiasco - where he was eventually dressed to be the villain; I will never listen to another word of what comes out of Pannu or BIHL's mouth again.

Yet another 'catastrophe' occurs and the whole thing is shelved - strangely once season ticket money and sponsorship money is in the bank, and big earners are off the wage bill.

They've had their opportunities; and with every bidder they knock back, the less chance they have of selling when they actually do want to sell.

What I find odd is that all those who say they are never going to renew ST's or not attend matches whilst we have the present owners, always think it is THEIR particular outlay that is going to BIHL/Pannu/Yeung/whoever.

I like to think my money goes on paying the players and all the other staff at St. Andy's, to keep the club going and to provide the football we see.

Rethink lads and lasses ?
