Now this must suit you Paul Weller / Jam fans surely.....

I saw Hard Fi about 4 months ago and they were outstanding.
One of the best live acts I've seen since Billy Idol <_<

I've just bought In Operation with all the remixes and the live DVD and all the videos and must say they just get better and better.

They have all the attitude/enthusiasm of early Blur/Oasis and I'm really looking forward to their next album, although it sounds like it will be 2007 now.

Any thoughts folks?

I must agree and say that Stars of CCTV is my favourite album of the last 12 months. Absolutely superb debut.

Did not know about In Operation - how long has that been out, and is it remixes of the songs on CCTV ???

Looking forward to getting it either way !! **thumbup **thumbup **thumbup

you have now!

it's writing lyrics for the lowest denominator - good music but shocking lyrics about being a worthy geezer working class bloke when the truth is nothing like. I would also throw the Ordinary Boys in to this arguement as well.

Can't agree at all Dave.

Better Do Better sums up a broken relationship better than many 'classic love songs' and Feltham Is Singing Out is lyrically brilliant. (A story about one of their mates who got caught up in drugs, started robbing and was sent to the young offenders institute and topped himself.)

I think the album was written when they were broke and hence is a true representation of where they were at at that point in time.
The 2nd album will be interesting as they can't do that again.

They were also one of the best live bands in 'getting an audience up for it' that I've seen in a long time.

Then again, your mob haven't visited the South Coast yet....

What's with this overuse of the word 'chav' nowadays....anything that one person thinks is not to their liking and they place it into the 'chav' category. <_<

Music is music and each person has their own preference. I hate dance tosh but its just opinion! We should stop analysing the lyrics and 'musical standard' of music and say sod it- if we enjoy it, we enjoy it!!!!!

just because of the content doesn't mean it falls into a category, people have to categorise everything nowadays, back on topic hard fi are one of my favourite bands and for the guy that mentioned In Operation its been out for a fair few months now the remixes are a bit different and have various other musical influences still worth a listen tho, and for the guy that mentioned hard to beat thats my fav song from them :ph43r: my wardrobe is burberry free though

TBH I don't give a flying monkeys if they are loaded / broke/ upper class/ lower class/ where burberry or top hats. I loved the sound of the Album and as I have said before - my favourite album of the past year.

Why are some people so blinded by where a band comes from or how rich there mommies and daddies are ? Who cares as long as you like the music ??

Amazing, quite a reaction for a phrase used by Hard-fi, themselves.

Anyway I've got to go to bed to do my 9-5 (7-6) to have enough money to draw out of a cash machine so I can live for the weekend.

I saw Hard Fi at the Electric Ballroom, Campden. The Support was Distophia and Director.

I really don't like Hard Fi and left half way through there set.

The question is - on Hard Fis next album what are they going to sing about? making too much money/touring?
