Now i'm no avid fan of Eastenders or anything, but it sometimes tickles my sadistic or totally venomous gland (the SOTV gland if you're in the medical profession) to sometimes eavesdrop behind what the punters in the Queen Vic are listening to these days?

Usually, the young `uns dominate the juker with their east end brand of chart music dross, rarely do Jim and Dot get to whack a Matt Munro track or two on? But what i've just heard playing in the background tonight as Phil was telling Peggy where to get off and Ian Beales hairstyle was being awarded national heritage status by the mayor of Walford, literally took me aback?

They were playing The Smiths!! So am i to believe that perhaps Pauline Fowler the most miserable woman in the Universe actually got a pound out of her purse and put her favourite band on?

Of course they don't have a jukebox in the Rovers Return so my SOTV gland will have to settle for what it's had?

At first i struggled to make it out over the drone of Sonia and Martin arguing about their bay-bee and why it looks like Grant Mitchell?

But it was actually "Still ill" which impressed me? Obviously somebody at the Beeb has been injected with a 'taste' syringe?

I've often wondered what your obsession with question marks is.
Enlighten me?

The curvature of the noble question mark just tickles my fancy?

It's not as abrupt or as stern as a domineering exclamation mark!

I see.
I am enlightened.
Doesn't feel as good as I was expecting.

What were you expecting sibling? You asked me why i like using question marks? Ask me why i like Dostievsky or the readings of Trotsky? How can i entertain you with comedic musings about grammar marks?

So sorry i disappointed you sibling? Pah pah and thrice pah!

The Vicar probably watches a lot of 'Home & Away' too. Aussies tend to end every sentence with a query. ;)

Well Gary Hobbs put 'You sexy thing' on the jukebox last night so whatever taste they did have seems to have gone right out of the window.
