The wife was entered by her manager...........eh?

erm, the wife's manager entered her into a company prize draw for achieving the highet targets for last month, or something or other just as dull. She's at home today and they've called her up to say she's won. It's 2 tickets for The V Festival on Saturday.

Get in, you say?

The 'Bo***ks!' comment was aligned to the fact that I'm going away tomorrow.

i don't hate mellberg i just refuse to accept that he exists. To hate him might suggest that one day i could probably like him. If he doesn't exist then i don't have to bother with aiming hate at him.

It's all about my sliding scale of dislike and to not exist is far worse than hating.

if i had 10 pints in front of me and i was in dire need of a drink and someone else paid for it by having borrowed the money from Morrissey with the threat of his life if he din't pay it back with the intrest rate of 500% piled on top, i still wouldn't drink it or say thank you! Now that's Hardcore!!!!

I regulary walk out of pubs that have his voice on the jukebox. You know that some nerk will come along andd select it and then select the whole album whilst holding onto a pint of mild.

Morrissey is a finer songsmith than any singer or act anybody on this board can think of....and I curse a curse of a thousand curses upon any man, woman and child on this planet that disagrees with me!

Although not mad for morrissey's solo efforts - I feel some of the comments on here regarding The Smiths are well out of order, The Smiths were made out to be a band that was only good for 80's teenagers to slash there wrists too whilst downing paracetomol / tennent extra cocktails to the sound of "girlfriendin a coma" or "Still Ill", However if you were to listen to an array of The smiths songs you will find that many are very upbeat. There are songs for all moods and emotions in their discography.
Johhny Marr was/is one of the country's greatest unsung guitarists of the modern era.
The Smiths as a band could have reached even greater heights of fame had they continued.

The smiths also refused to be lead like by a puppy on a lead by the music giants into commercial blandness, Morrisey always spoke his mind whether or not it upset his peers etc etc.

The next time you hear a smiths song on the radio or in a pub - stop for a second and listen - really listen and you might find your stereotypical preconceptions melt away.

And to quote morrisey

"Oh yes, you can kick me
And you can punch me
And you can break my face
But you won't change the way I feel"
