Although not mad for morrissey's solo efforts - I feel some of the comments on here regarding The Smiths are well out of order, The Smiths were made out to be a band that was only good for 80's teenagers to slash there wrists too whilst downing paracetomol / tennent extra cocktails to the sound of "girlfriendin a coma" or "Still Ill", However if you were to listen to an array of The smiths songs you will find that many are very upbeat. There are songs for all moods and emotions in their discography.
Johhny Marr was/is one of the country's greatest unsung guitarists of the modern era.
The Smiths as a band could have reached even greater heights of fame had they continued.

The smiths also refused to be lead like by a puppy on a lead by the music giants into commercial blandness, Morrisey always spoke his mind whether or not it upset his peers etc etc.

The next time you hear a smiths song on the radio or in a pub - stop for a second and listen - really listen and you might find your stereotypical preconceptions melt away.

And to quote morrisey

"Oh yes, you can kick me
And you can punch me
And you can break my face
But you won't change the way I feel"

Well that was nice :D , still doesn't get away from the fact that I and many others think Morissey and The Smiths are/were CACK of the highest order

your loss sibling :D
