Which is harder giving up Sky world package or giving up fags?

I've done both this year with the sky world more recently (last week) and i've found giving up smoking a doddle in comparison to giving up sky. I now sit at home being teased by sky sports on freeview about all the games i could be watching. My free sat has all the channels still there but not accesable for everything i could be watching instead of Big Bro.

Giving up fags was hard but giving up sky sports, sky movies and challenge tv (i love watching old episodes of the crystal maze) a lot harder.

Messages of Encouragment :

Give up Sky, anyday. It doesn't make you look big or hard like the fags do!

Plus you can watch Sky Sports in the pub whilst smoking (well until next year). Everyones a winner!

It's a good scam with sky - just ring them up and tell them you are cancelling your subscription because of financial issues and I'll guarentee they offer you if either free or at a huge discount for 3 months.

i still keep 3 packets in the house one openend and the rest wrapped. I've got a lighter in the car. I know that at anytime i could light up but becuase i know i can - i don't. It makes it easier (IMO) if you have what you need to smoke availableto you beause it makes me prouder of the fact that i can resist.

That's not a bad idea. It seems to have worked for you.

I started smoking again just when i had had a little too much to drink but once your on that slippery slope there is no helping you.

I quit smoking the same time as a few others on here around xmas but was back on them a month later due to a stressfull house move and not enough will power. I got rid of sky sports and movies about 6 weeks ago but the buggers didnt offer me nowt to stay - not that I'm bothered now we aint in the premier league no more,

As for the fags again I am going to start smoking cessation therapy on Sept 12th - This time it will be for good though.
