The music was fine when Keith Laurent was at the helm, why Sullivan had to interfere and change things god only knows...its dire at the moment land of hope and glory...jerusalem... how to kill an atmosphere!

Can someone tell DS that its not Rugby at the old Cardiff Arms Park.

The announcer picks the music albeit the last fifteen minutes before kick off. BUT having said that when I was given the mandatory tunes to play, including Slade (twice!!!) I at least had the brains to switch the songs around, throw in a few of my own and swap them as requested by the fans until it was right. You don't always have to follow exactly what you are told if you have the intelligence to think of something better. Mind you having said that, look how much good it did Keith and I!!

 Obviously David Sullivan wants to be in control of the music! which is why its awful!

I think the board should back off a bit so stop interfering with everything or they may as well sack everyone and do it themselfs.

What a complete shambles this pre match music is now, its honestly a joke, why are we playing Mr Blue Sky half way through and then cutting it dead and putting all the depressing stuff on, even jerusalem got cut off in its prime (thank god)

Its totally amateurish!

the really sad thing about this thread is that if the team were capable of entertaining ,scoring goals and defending at the same time nobody would care if they ran out to the laurel and hardy tune let alone jerusalem :copno: in short ..... its all brucies fault :ph43r:

Has anyone heard any more from the club about it? The volume is deafening at the moment as well, I was physically yelling at the person next to me to make myself heard.

The music used to be one of the highlights of going to the blues for me
It was great to hear Mr Blue Sky played right to the end, and timed just right to finish just before teams came out to get the clapping going and then into the Tamperer.

When we were struggling last season it seemed a reasonable idea to see if trying different music would help, but it just seemed to prove how good it was in the first place.

Come back Keith and sort it out! **thumbup

Personally, I would prefer no music until 5 minutes prior to the game and just Mr Blue Skies followed by The Tamperer.

At the beginning of the season, the sound system appeared much better than last term. But it's gradually got louder, distorted and the speakers out of sync.

Bring back the Shirley Silver Band or some other live entertainment! **thumbup

to be fair the music does need changing as it does seem to have an effect on the opening of the game.

Why do they play the Tamperer Feat with the rubbish singing when they should play Mr.Blue Sky?

I don't get it?

It should be Mr.Blue Sky...ending on the exhilerating top note....

then it should go into the clapping for the Tamperer.

Now it's just complete rubbish and the atmosphere isn't as good :/

the tamp should never be played it's offencive.

thats why i'm never in the ground to here the pre-match music ,that and the fact i dont need the music to be up for a game, but just seeing the eforts on the pitch is enough to criple the atmos these days.

I posted this elsewhere, but in case you missed it: I emailed the club about the pre-match music. My reply included the following:

" I thank you for taking the time to comment and confirm that your mail has been forwarded to the Board of Directors for their information, please note however that the choices of music have been personally chosen by David Sullivan"

I took that to mean that it was unlikely that my concern would have any influence because I'm only a fan and the bloke that picks the music owns the club so he can do what he wants.

So if I want to get the pre-match music changed I first have to make a fortune, then buy enough shares in the club to oust the current regime, and then re-instate Keith and SkyDaz (who will pick the appropriate tunes depending on who the visitors are. It's a talent).

Psst. Wanna buy some mucky pictures...???

Looks like the rubbish music is staying anyway - whatever the thoughts of the fans, David Sullivan likes it and we will listen to it!
