He's finished! Thats the problem with we Brummies, why cant we let go of the past, accept whats been and gone, Mikel was indeed a player a few seasons back, but today, he's no more than a shadow of the man he once was. He's finished!

You said

You may have noticed but Nafti had been out with a serious injury and he himself said it would take a few weeks to get properley match fit. So yes WOW he lasted longer and next time it will longer still. meaning he is getting fitter and fitter which is a good thing.

So why make him captain if he aint gonna last the pace ???

A player lasts nearly a whole game - WOW shock, horror, probe.
Bendtner holds on to the ball far too long and usually loses it in the end.
McSheffrey is not appreciated by those around him and so gets little opportunity to show us what he is really capable of (goal today for example was the ONLY decent pass he received).
Nafti huffs and puffs then passes sideways or backwards.
DJ Campbell is fed long high balls, have his team mates failed to notice he is only a small guy ?
The way Muamba started I thought he had drawn the short straw to be the one sent off today, thenk G0d he calmed down but his influence was negligible.
Kelly probably my MOTM.
Taylor is now working for Floors-To-Go ??

Your talking about an 18 yr old kid who does make mistakes, but overall he has made a positive start and scored some important goals.

But hey if you want to wallow in self pity and negativity

A few weeks for Nafti to get fit! We are nine weeks into the season, he has had the close season for the club did to get him right and quite a few games for his country in the World Cup where I seem to recall he made it to the end of matches. I think that is plenty of time for him to be able to complete a match for us.

I agree about Bendtner but he is not our player, our positives over him will be short lived. Arsenal however are probably rubbing their hands.

It is also not self pity to express concern over yet another poor performance. We have not moved on yet from last season’s fiasco with the best squad for thirty years. We now have the most expensive squad in the Championship, possibly ever, and still we can’t get them to perform.

Apparently large numbers of supporters have had enough and are staying away, we are slipping behind the leaders who cost virtually nothing compared to our squad, still haven’t put in a decent performance over the whole 90 minutes this season but hey everything is OK. The only thing wrong with the club appears to be a sever case of self pity. I am glad there is nothing seriously wrong.

I've already said GO

Shame that some have ignored the request of the thread originator as this was quite an interesting thread as long as it remained a simple 'Stay' or 'Go' statement rather than entering the realms of debate. Stick to the KISS idiom ... it's not that hard .... STAY or GO ... that's it !!!

I can sympethise people/ fans who do not think that changing a system is a good idea.

It really shocks me to have to acknowledge that Birmingham City Football Club Supporters (yeah - OK we can't ALL be called supporters apparentently, we HAVE to go to EVERY game) would fall for the oldest trick in the book!!!!

I have to admit that I thought that SB should be given a chance to show his 'mettle' about 18 months ago.

I think he's been given that chance and failed. I don't blame him (solely) for us being relegated.

I think that the "Pro-Bruce" brigade seem to have fallen for the classic "I won't c*m in your mouth" line...................

Why do I get the feeling that they will be left with a bad taste ..................

Same old rubbish.

Sorry brucie, I still love ya but please, for me, just do one. For the good of the club!

There really is no proper excuse for us being where we are in the league at the moment. Imo we have the strongest squad in the championship and should be happily establishing a healthy lead between us and the chasing pack by now.

Instead all we are getting is rubbish performances and poor results. Imo we are only second (up to today) because the quality within the squad has got us the points. The manager can take no credit for where we are, we are largely clueless.

We should not be dropping points at this rate. Do your maths people, at this rate well be play off contenders. Not good enough.

Bruce out Curbs in.

NOW!

I am absolutely disgusted (from Bedworth - not Tunbridge Wells).

Just because we play rubbish today, everyone jumps on Steve.

The poor guy has got the flu, thats why he couldn't handle the press and media and everything.

We've played like this for over 2 years, why now does everyone jump on a guy who is ill ?

Wisel last week, Marky now having doubts............... bloody hell. I've been trying to get rid of him since Boro and Man City last year - they were my 'last straws'.

But why after this match does everyone suddenly want him gone?

If you'd listened and supported the ST boycott, he might have gone earlier.

STAY MAN.................... with my support I know how the board will react.

Appart from a few exeptions, we have virtually got a totaly different team from last season. Yet the football is virtually identicall to the style that got us relegated. Lots of possesion but no end product. With the resorses and squad we have we should romp this division. I expect to at the very least go up as runners up if not champions. Tom ross claims that we have no right to walk over the teams in this league. But I do !! On paper we have a squad most managers in this division would love. Bruce has took us as far as he can, time for a change
