Were We Poor Yesterday

The answer, as a team is probably yes, But as a squad of individuals, is no. I think that was the trouble yesterday. There is no doubt that we have the most talented squad of individuals in the division. At times yesterday some of the skill on display were brilliant, with some good passing i.e cross field balls and into the channels, but unless we can harness the talent which we undoubtedly have, into the team we will always end up with results like yesterday.

Our most skilful players, seem at times to want to run the ball into the goal, with the possible exception of Mcsheff no one want to shoot. We were always looking for the killer pass into the penalty area. Unlike last season when we were content to hoof the ball forward in hope.
There is no doubt that we threw away 3 points yesterday, it's annoying, yes we did dominate the game. Leicester were a very poor side, but we are just not creating the chances.

It is very furstrating being a Blues Fan at the present moment because every one knows that we can do better.

Bruce won't be replaced anytime soon (so there is no ponit in moaning), and I still believe that he will get us promotion this year. I don't think he will be our manager next October because of poor results when we are promoted, I do not think that he is a premiership manager, championship yes but not premiership.

I agree, we have a good squad of players, probably the best in the championship. But we do not play in any coordinated way. No tactics, no shape and very messy in the centre of the park. No wing play. But I differ from you in one thing. Bruce will go this month.

totally agree, before the season started i was saying that it is a hard division to get out of now after seeing us spend so much on players and how poor the oposition is i now realise we should be taking all these clubs to the cleaners.

we are afectivly the chelsea of this league but we play like the rest of them in this division.

It doesn't particularly help matters when half the ground are screaming shoot at anyone who has the ball within 40 yards of goal, regardless of which foot the ball is on, and regardless of how many defenders are stood directly infront of them.

At times yesterday players were being harangued for seeing no opportunity to shoot, and moving the ball around the pitch. This is the absolute opposite of the hoofball, we were playing the ball around in the final third, and STILL they get slated for it.

Right at the end of the half Bender cut inside, he was about 25 yards away, there were four defenders infront of him, there was absolutely no chance he could ever have scored from that position, and yet when he tried to push a pass through there were howls of derision.

Imagine if everybody else was like that and didn't join the knee-jerk Sky Sports/talksport 'he's got to go' sheep.....
For God's sake we are 10 games in, the team is not brilliant but it is not bad. There is room for improvement and it's 46 games that count.
We are second, we will go up.

Just out of interest. This time last year were you just as confidently predicting that we wouldn't be relegated?

I am as disappointed as everyone at yesterdays relative poor performance. We expect better and i believe, like Joe, that we will improve. We were missing key players and although this is no absolute excuse, it goes some way to explain. Some 24 or so hours after the final whistle I have mellowed from my disappointment. The league tables dont lie. We are second in the league. Having watched Norwich today I am just glad I am not one of their supporters. They were awful (and apparently have been for most of the season).

Bet there were quite a few of us guilty of this one! But I am still confident we will be there at the end of the season, given a bit of luck and getting the rub of the green, and not too many injuries...............................need I go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought we bossed the whole match. But yet again one of our defenders let us down right when we didn't need it to happen! Matt Sadler was terrific for the end of last season, but so far this season has been awful! What on earth was he doing for Leicester's goal?! For me Bruce has to go. The players have such a lack of slef belief it's costing us! I'd love to see Alan Curbishley, and i even heard a rumour he was at the match on Saturday. We have the best squad in the league by far but the worst manager. So the board have to see sense and sack him before it's too late! Sorry Brucie but you've done your bit for the club and the best thing you can do is resign!

I heard a Norwich fan on 5 live this evening claim Curbishley was seen at Carrow Road.

Curbishley is in fact still away in New Zealand.....

I think you'll find the howls were that no one was supporting him. Which happened throughout the game. Probably something to do with the two central midfield players we had in the lineup, who both sat back. Bendtner ended up running into a dead end, as he had little or no options.

At least thats what people saw by me.
