Also why have Norwich just give Worthington TWO games to turn it around or he goes. The board at Blues hav'nt given that opion to Bruce or he would have gone 18 months ago.
To me it shows other boards at clubs (like WBA) have a will to move there club onwards & are NOT scared of a change.

I have checked the Norwich official site and there is nothing on there, mentioning he has two games?

Must be a bit worrying for Worthington, his team got spanked 4-1 at home by Burnley. At least there hasn't been a result that bad for us this season (yet?)

Interesting concept, giving the manager a specified number of games to turn it around, three matches for example.

If the Blues board were to do this, it would be an example of them putting their money where their mouth is for once and proving they mean business.

i.e they tell us Bruce is the right manager for the job and that we have the squad to do it, well let's see how good they really are and whether the players want to play for the manager ... or is it simply a case that they are not up to it or aren't interested ... or would prefer a management change?

My final point, Bruce has taken two players who scored almost 40 league goals between them last season (Jerome & McSheffrey) and we've seen a return of two league goals (I think) so far ... says it all to me.

Personally, I'm unsure about Bruce, but the fact he gave DJ his shirt back left me absolutely speechless and put grave doubts in my mind ... can you imagine Fergie, Cloughie, Shankley, Wenger or Mourinihou standing for that kind of behaviour ... the player would have been on his bike before he could get his socks off!

What is he going to turn round then ? We're a quarter way through the season and in the promotion places. You can't tell him to 'turn it around'. You can insist on better performances but thats not what your saying here.

Jerome hasn't played because he got suspended. You could say that he's taken a van driver and got him in the top ten strikers in the league, it works both ways.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Nigel Worthington already had a full season to get Norwich back into the Premiership, which he failed to do? It's not like they haven't given him any backing.

It would be ironic if Worthington ends up at Burnley if as speculated Cotterill moves to the Baggies.......

Norwich were glad to see the back of SB when he left for manure, and he GAVE his son to their biggest rivals. Can't see them wanting him.

Curbs is a good manager but no Martin O'Neil, perhaps it might be better to go for a younger manager (Dave Penney?) and accept a couple of years in the Championship whilst he builds a proper team for the future?

ARE YOU SAYING THAT WE DON'T HAVE A PROPER TEAM NOW???????? How much more do you want, Lampard, Cole, Henry perhaps?

Funny you should mention Martin O'Neil - the same Martin O'Neil that Norwich fans barracked and hounded out of Carrow Road after only six months in the job!!!

Sometimes the fans get what they deserve................

and didn't Leicester fans 'barrack' Peter Taylor, considered one of the best 'young' managers in England, out of the job after he took over from Martin O'Neil, (who took the best players to Celtic with him), and left a squad full of over the hill self opinionated players...

and ditto Leeds with Brian Clough.

No-one ever said football was 'sensible'!

;)

oh back on thread, I think Curbs is a good manager but I see him more as a person who builds a team over a period of time, and not so much as a 'motivating' manager like Martin O'Neill who achieves instant results with a de-moralised squad.
