There have been rumours that Forssell and Bruce have had a bust-up because the former Chelsea forward has had enough spending so long on the periphery.

But it seems that it is no more serious than the usual kind of difference of opinion when a player believes he should be included in the XI. "No, we haven't had words at all," said the manager.

The biggest mistake I made last season was going in with three strikers, knowing the injury doubts about Mikael and David Dunn.

quote from bruce - shame it took him so long to realise it, and if we had had for strikers then we wold have stayed up end of!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worries me that he is stating he KNEW about the situation at the time and still did nothing, so really he is saying he thought he might have been making a mistake but instead of safe guarding against the situation he carried on regardless.

Sums it all up really,

love the politics of football management

not did bruce knew but also the owners as both have regular meetings

so rather than publicise the incompetance of both during what was a depressing last season they rather ignore it and hope for the best

When he played against Wrexham i thought his body language was of a player who did not want to be at the club. I said he will be gone in January. His past is that of a first class striker, but unfortunatly, due to injury he is definately not the player he was 2 years ago, which is a shame because he has the talent to be the first name on the team sheet.
We have a number of midweek and weekend fixture coming up after the international break, and undoubtedly Forsell will feature in some of those matches. I really hope he gets back to the form he is capable of. I would like to see him play alongside bentner. I think it will be make or break time for him.
As for a bust up with SB. It is up to him to show the manager that he is first choice striker now. The only way to do that is to show passion and put the ball in the net when he gets the chance.

I have been saying for at least 18 months that we should write off Dunn & Forssell & treat it as a bonus if they ever get back to full fitness.

What do you mean, write them off?

Don't quite follow...

Simple don't build your entire team and plan your whole season on the basis that both will be fit for the great majority of games.
