"At the moment, we are there or thereabouts - but you would think it's crisis time!" added Bruce, referring to the pressure on Blues from expectant and demanding fans. "There are seven-and-a-half months left of the season - we've just scratched the surface." im sure this would of been said, and what happened in them seven-and-a-half-months! nothing but us going down! |

Yes he is absolutley correct that we are there or thereabouts, but if he believes that the way we are playing , holding onto wins against colchester etc, that we will stay there or therabouts then i am sorry he is sadly mistaken. While results are all that matter at the end of the day according to some , the football we are playing is not exactly riveting stuff and is proportional to the missing thousands down St andrews |

:( What are you trying to say? Do you think we are going to get relegated? reaction top SB giving an interview - Damned if he does, damned if he don't!! Why don't you post the whole article instead of just picking out one sentence and using it in the way you have - the guy was just making a comment about Cardiff! FM!! Get over it - move on with your life! STEVE Bruce has questioned Championship leaders Cardiff City's staying power. The Bluebirds are the surprise table-toppers after clicking into gear quickly. Blues boss Bruce said he had every respect for the Welshmen, but warned that his team would get better. He said: "They have done very, very well. All credit to them. However, it's October now. Are Cardiff going to be there at the end of March? Who knows, they might be. One thing Cardiff have been is pretty settled. "And it's never going to be easy for any team to play at Ninian Park. It is a very intimidating atmosphere, the crowd are right behind them and they're experiencing that feelgood factor we had when we went on that unbeaten sequence to promotion, and in the first couple of seasons in the Premiership. "They have done exceptionally well and they deservedly beat us down there. But can they last the pace? I know for a fact that we are capable of going on a run and that we will get better." Cardiff hold a five-point lead over Blues. They sold striker Cameron Jerome to Blues for £3million in the summer and reinvested the money wisely to bolster their squad. Cardiff started well last season only to fade away when their strength in depth was found wanting. "At the moment, we are there or thereabouts - but you would think it's crisis time!" added Bruce, referring to the pressure on Blues from expectant and demanding fans. "There are seven-and-a-half months left of the season - we've just scratched the surface." |

I understand the damned if he does, damned if he doesn't thinking and you're right in that respect. What is beginning to get on my nerves is that every time he talks to the press at the moment, is that he seems to be having a dig at the support. I know that the gates are doen and there's little or no atmosphere at ST A's but why does he have to keep what is IMO, aiming his frustration at us. IMO, the best way to get the atmosphere back is to adopt an us v's the world seige mentality. The press doesn't like/take any notice of us anyway. Just my opinion but there you go. He's beginning to get on my nerves! Keep Right On! |

Bruce has a right to view his opinion on our support - but we have just as much right to discuss what an absolute buffoon he has been on far too many occassions now. Bruce - like some of the fans on here - seems to think he should get the plaudits for everything that went well when he first arrived but not for everything that has gone so dramatically and drastically wrong since. Fans are having a go at him because the football is poor, the results are poor and there is a real lack of enthusiasm down St Andy's, eminating from antipathy towards the players. |

Agreed, he is entitled to his own opinion and for what it's worth, I agree with him but I just feel he's not doing himself any favors with his sniping. |

His sniping comes from the fact that loads of supporters are fed up and want a change and he knows it - but why is he not allowed to say it when most threads are doom and gloom? I imagine that at every single interview he does he is asked about the fans expectations and the why loads are still so unhappy etc. Fact of the matter is in the Interview he doesn't mention the fans - the Meaning Evil put in the comment "referring to the pressure on Blues from expectant and demanding fans" - you could read his comments as referring to the press and the constant questioning about the fans. I should know better and people are entitled to their opinions but the original thread makes no mention of what the article is about - it's just another blinkered 'get him out of here' thread. Does anyone have anything to say on his Cardiff Comments? I'm not sure their squad is any smaller than ours - why does SB think that Cardiff will struggle eventually? |

Relative Squad sizes Birmingham 27 including 3 loan players Cardiff 25 including 1 loan player Take out the loans and it's 24 a piece. Quick glance at experience etc. seems to indicate a very similar amount of experience although the Cardiff squad may just edge it. As to why SB thinks they'll struggle. I think he's just falling in line with the popular view. That's the same popular view that said Reading would fade last year. |

My view on Cardiff there top because they deserve to be and why he feels they might faulter is beyond me, one bit that bothers me is that SB says "the season starts here" sorry Steve is started in August, maybe if you realise this it might help you to "gel" the team a lot quicker, have a go at us fans if you want, its your right, but YOU failed as a manager last season and some of us fans feel you shouldn't even be here to moan about us, maybe if you and your staff got the players playing better entertaining us better, you wouldn't be getting as much negativity would you? Ive heard the same rubbish from SB for long enough i'd rather he actually just got on and showed us  |

He knows who his first team is as much as the average supporter does, one week it's Larsson, the next it's Danns. Johnson is solid, not skillful enough so Kelly's back in, but Kelly concedes us a sloppy goal so Johnson is back in. We need more steel so Painter's in at left back. It's not tactical ideas like Benitez uses, he's just got no idea. Very good at signing good players, hasn't got a clue what to do with them. |
