Just happened to notice that to go to Derby away match will cost £27 if pre booked and £30 if brought on the day. Derby have match day tickets ranging from £25 to £30 if pre booked and upto £35 if paid on the day. Derby get about 22,000 for most Home games and got 26k against Sunderland. Now BCFC get slated for the cost of tickets and is pretty much blamed for the poor showing re: attendances this season. I agree that in total football has become too expensive for some people - but should this be aimed at our board? Are some people just not seeing past the end of their noses when it comes to ticket prices? And maybe we should face facts that the Prem match day boys will only return next season when we are back in the prem - no mater how low you reduce prices. I presume you will be going to Pride Park Pewster as you like to financially support other clubs in our division and not support your own? It's just another side of the argument. |

Tim, is your stance that it is not ticket prices that is affecting our gates? <_< |

I have always said price is not the only issue and a drastic reduction would not necessarily dramatically increase gates. Our problems are far more fundamental. As fans we have been treated poorly, suffered relegation with little or no attempt to save us and no senior person taking the blame / fall for our obvious problems. I don’t count the odd ‘I made mistakes’ quotes especially when we still keep repeating the same mistakes. We have been talked at like mugs, had wild promises made that can’t be kept under the current regime and been accused as part of the problem. Sort out the way the club treats us, sort out the on the field problems, make St. Andrews a place people want to go to again and the crowds will return, regardless of the division. We would find a way of affording almost any price IF the product was worth it. |

It's part of larger problem - I don't think it'd be long term solution. I voted yes to price reductions in jassy's poll - because I would like to see what would happen. IMO - Initially gates would increase - but whether the club will then continue to drop the prices and will some fans keep coming back? I'm not sure. Some refuse to entertain the idea of a return to the ground while SB is in charge and yet they will probably return when we are in the prem regardless of who is in charge. I can't speak for everyone. Like I say - I don't like it when threads are started that just attack the club without putting forward both sides of the argument. |

Dont know if I'm going or not tim, but to be honest, I dont really care what other teams charge ! If I were a Derby fan, and had invested 20 plus years in supporting them, then i would care about the price and value for money, I am Not ! I am however a Blues fan, and having spent 20 plus years holding a season ticket, I Do feel ripped off having watched the prices rise and rise to fund under achievement, and when the quality of both product and quality has now dropped, I am within my rights to decide that I believe to be asked the same price for a lesser product is being ripped off ! So yes ! Football in general is to expensive, but I only really care that my own club is to quick to exploit the long term supporter ! |

I never went to Leicester at home for the sole reason of the ticket price for a second rate second division match, sorry but thats what i thought it was and evidently was proved right. 99 times out of 100 i wouldnt go to Derby for £30 but this will be an exception as i`m meeting some workmates.I`m not anti-Blues,anti-board,anti-Bruce or anything else for that matter.I`m only anti-being ripped off,and will continue to not attend what i see as overpriced second rate matches. All just my opinion of course **thumbup |

If by "in total" you mean that boards at other clubs are also greedy, penny pinching, soulless money grabbers with no love for the game, feel for the club or empathy with the supporters then I would tend to agree doesn't make it any better though |

Dependent on Your Seat ! I Sat in the Kop, and was annoyed to be shelling out £550 for last seasons dross, having previously paid less than £300 to watch us fail at this level prior to the Premiership ! I'm afraid it takes more than a belated 8% or whatever it was they offered, to convince me that a lesser product with the same old failed manager was worth it for me ! I'm off to rent a pricate viler in Fuertaventura tomorrow for a fortnight, complete with my wife, 2 kids, and a jeep for the duration. When I come back it will still have cost me £500 less than our season tickets did last year, I'll have a suntan and Coventry will still only cost me £22 ! I'm glad I made the decision I did, It''s the clubs problem how they get me and the missing thousands back, its their actions that have made us missing ! |

Nobody will moan about prices if we go up, and when you do a check with other teams our prices seem comparable, when will some people realise its not just the price thats affecting attendances :banghead: |

I`ll be at every single home game that is not in the `Class A` bracket, and a good percentage of the away games. All of my family are the same and until this year we were season ticket holders for approx 11/12 consecutive seasons,we`re not alone either i know plenty who point blank refuse to pay £30 for a division 2 game.Whether we`re in the Prem or in Division 3 next year we`ll still be there at the games we feel are fairly priced. |

I would only consider people who had never been to St Andrews and before or since the Prem. You don't fall into that bracket trev, so apologies if it came across that way to others too. @ trev - Why don't you just go to the A matches instead of the B and C matches? Surely paying £29 to watch the 'better' teams 7 or 8 times in the season is better than watching the B and C teams 14/15 times. |

No no mate i didnt take offence i was just merely pointing out that some of the `prem fans` are not attending all the home games for more reasons than just the level of football.
For the simple reason i dont like not being at the games, its rubbish watching Soccer Saturday or listening to the radio knowing the Blues are at home, and being used to being at every game for the recent past,it just dont compare. |

My Ticket for Derby cost £25 plus Karen's £1.50 'booking fee'. So the actual ticket is still £4 less than our Grade A games |
