What was that all about, trying to announce the team while we were in full voice singing KRO neither Keith nor Daz would have done that

I saw today why you have all been complaining about the music.

It really needs some help.

It is absolutely terrible! When Mr Blue Sky came on I looked around and people in the crowd were singing along to it - then as usual off it went half way through to make way for the songs that are ruining the atmosphere, and it really does look like someone said on here, when David Sullivan takes his seat off goes Mr Blue Sky on comes land of hope and glory, jerusalem etc, for christ sakes it was Derby Day why continue with this music that just left everyone standing there motionless to the run up to kick off.

I don't get it - why can't they see its awful???

If the guy was to slow down about and stop shouting it is just possible that we might catch at least some of his words. He is not a professional broadcaster.
Some one here must have been at Cardiff now he played graet music and every word was clear.

The whole prematch music and stadium announcing at Blues has become a joke. How are you supposed to get any atmosphere going if you play songs that mean nothing to us, you cut our song off half way through, you announce over our singing, you "sponsored by.." everything from a goal to your grannie going to the toilet, you don't repair certain speakers around the ground (even though it has been reported on numerous occassions) and you advertise through every second of half time.

It's pathetic!

I sit in the Tilton and if i put my headset on for my phone i cannot hear a word being said on it as that dammed announcer is so loud. Come on Blues sort it out enough is enough........

my suggestion would be to personally write to the club voicing your concerns, i wouldn't write to Mr David Sullivan though, it maybe his decision but on the whole i find letters addressed to the top like this would normally be binned.

write to customer services, i am sure they would listen after all you are paying customers. we must have a thread like this after every home game and although i don't have any problem with the music or announcer i can see some of you do....

so i would suggest you write it in a professional way and not in the way some of these posts moan about it. just outline some of your reasons as to why you think it needs changing. Don't just say "sack the guy" as this i think will fall on deaf ears as he is following a club directive to play that music.

I'll tell you why the old programme of songs was good:

Firstly we had Singing the Blues. It was upbeat...got everybody on their feet because it was a catchy tune that everyone knew...and could sing to and it's directly Birmingham City related.

Then we had Mr.Blue Sky which is another upbeat tune. Definately one everyone can sing and clap to. It then ends on the high crescendo of noise which sends shivers down your spine...cos you know they're ready to start the beat which everyone stands up to and claps.

Sometimes this goes on too long, but hey...everyone keeps clapping. KEEPS THE NOISE UP!

And then, the stadium announcer finally comes in with "It's ready to roll (or something like that) Please welcome the teams....."

then the tamperer feat...which is raa upbeat and everyone keeps clapping.

It was all so slick and exciting.

Now it's all so $h*t and ex...ex...depressing.

**thumbup Yep the good old days when the music and announcer were good.

Thats a spot on post regarding the music - why can't the club see it, it beats me.
