Out of the blue, i have had some chap email me asking about why the Blues fans sing Keep Right On and the history behind it. From my recolection i seem to recall that a scottish player (Harry Lauder?)who used to play for the Blues started to sing it one day on the club coach either going to or from a match, but can anybody confirm if this is correct? feed.back |

I think that's right, yeah. I think Keep Right On should be sung like You'll never walk alone is before the game, then not too much during the game, because we have too many pointless ones |

as the blues coach pulled into highbury in the 1/4 final of the FA cup in 1956. One of the players asked Alex Govan "to sing us a song from Scotland". Govan started to sing keep right On, as the players got off the coach they we're still singing it. And the travelling Blues fans picked it up and have carried on singing it since. Ps Harry Lauder was the bloke who sang the original **thumbup |
