I doubt we will sign Eastwood :( - but I heard a story on the radio last night (probably 5live or talksport) about travelling gypsy's in the Southend region.

The reason they were so interested in the story is because apparently Freddie Eastwood comes from that particular set of gypsy's and his family live on the site - I didn't quite follow if he did or recently did or still does live on the site.

Anyway, they have been given a temporary 5 year planning order to stay on the site (incidentally it's a site they have purchased but is on greenbelt so they are not supposed to build there - but that's a different topic for another thread).

My Point?

I've come to the conclusion the only way to rid the club of the dredded Gypsy's Curse is to actually sign a genuine Pikey - Mr Eastwood being the man.

So, Mr. Gold(s) and Sullivan - break the bank get him here and the curse will be lifted!! Champions League and world domination here we come! **thumbup :P

sign a genuine Pikey

We had Robbie Savage in that particular role and it didn't do us much good.

The Gypsies curse is almost over so why would we want to curse our selves with another?

Echoing Proccy, we did alright when we had the Welsh Winger playing for us.

I also hate it when a 'long haired' player comes on as sub and the crowd start singing 'where's your caravan' (I'm sure there was one against Man City recently - can't remember who it was - but they came on, we took the **** and then he scored!!!

Never mock the curse!!

Totally agree. Stop this nonsense talk!

The biggest curse around now is our lack of tactics.

Weigh it up, Blues put in an offer to Southend, the player has a think, looks at Bruces record with strikers at what is becoming a strikers graveyard and well would you come here???

Hes going to a Prem side, you can all dream, but he wont come here.

Bit like us who are dreaming of Curbishley coming it is just that a dream, get over it.

And Gypsys Curse? Utter b*******,

i used to beleave in this curse but not anymore.

i think the fans have alot more to do with any curse seeing as we never want to be a big club with ambition and are happy to just except things.

thats why i dont care anymore whats the point in supporting a club where it's supporters have no ambition.

any board would love to have supporters like ours as we show we dont seem to want to show any dirision towards the club and just go with the flow.

well i wont anymore and if i go to the game again it will just to see mates.

The curse is a figment of our imagination, an all-too-convenient excuse that gets trotted out at regular intervals. It is 100 years since we moved to St Andrews, so I expect people to stop bandying it about once that milestone is reached.

We had Robbie Savage in that particular role and it didn't do us much good.

Echoing Proccy, we did alright when we had the Welsh Winger playing for us.

But Craig Bellamy never played for us.......he turned us down

As for the curse......well Steve Bruce is certainly cursing us .....with his totally uncalled for tirades aimed at Blues fans

Just be glad when he's gone

The original gypsy curse did not turn out as planned ...as we WON the League Cup in 1963

But bear in my mind we are one of the few "Big City" clubs that has never won a top flight title or a FA Cup so I wouldn't dismiss it lightly

Bottom line is the club has been mis-managed for decades and we have possessed many GREAT players but never a GREAT team .....we just need to find the 'killer' touch

10 Cup semi final defeats tells it's own story...we are truly 'Under Achievers'......very much like Newcastle,Middlesboro and Fulham
