I know what you mean Spliffy - I can go and watch Heineken Cup rugby in Neath, Cardiff & Newport for less than the cost of a Championship game. After my experiences on Wednesday I have to say I'll be seen more at Rodney parade than St Andrews |

I posted many moons ago that i would not be giving over my cash while you know who is in charge, for me you pay your money to be entertained,to see goals,to see passion ,which for me has been missing for ages ,bottom line i was not getting any enjoyment out of going,so the money i would have spent gets spent on the kids ,that way when my kids are playing with a toy for weeks,i feel its money well spent before i gave the money to watch the game and felt like i had wasted 5 hours of my life [5 hours including travel].So yes Mr SULLIVAN i have deserted. |

gazbcfc - its you being stupid A day out at the football is an experience - having refreshments is part of that. For some e.g. parents with kids it is more important. Where else do you go where half an hour before the performance the coffee, or milk or hot food run out. Laughable if you're not interested as you appean to be, but inolerable if you've been queueing pointessly for 20-30 minutes. The fact that the catering facilities were designed with such care and they clearly accepted the shortcomings of wholly inadequate facilities says everything. Then at fans forums the club basically say "tough" is indicative of what they really think of us. MUGS. In the US at baseball or football catering is top priority and they also bring sellers to you, because they want to serve you (the fans) needs. |

the Stupid one would be the one that decides to stay away from watching the Blues for such a pathetic reason. I dont know where you sit (if you ever go) but where I sit the refreshments are available well into the second half - the last two seasons have been a massive improvement in availability..but not for one second not one fraction of a second would the though cross mine or any real fans mind to not go because I cant get a cup of coffee before the match - as for it being part of an all inclusive entertainment package utter rubbish..its a game of football! if you are desperate to feed your face at a match take a pack of sarnies in with you - they wont stop you you know!... all this reason talk is just bullcrap excuses for so called fans to try and justify this weeks non attendance by them...Ive said it before and i will say it again as its backed up by facts easily available on the officail website - the attendances this season are roughly the same as the last time we were in this division - they only got better when we got promoted to the premiership - once we went down the bandwagon jumpers retreated back to the lairs...simple and factual..... |

I am a fan of 35 years, my dad has followed US for 51, years, i am 42 my dad 63. So "between us" thats 86 years watching OUR team. When we got relegated last year, i was in tears and spent the night getting hammered without hardly being able to speak, i was numb, my wife and workmates told me about a month after that i had been a pain in the harris for 3 weeks, constantly snappy etc some were scared to open their mouths in front of me. My mother told me my father hardly talked on the night of the relegation, she said she had never seen him so wound up over anything. We both know last year could have been avoided, a decent manager would have kept us up. We both have seen enough Blues teams and managers over the years to judge, the atmosphere disappeared, which we both also noted, i can make more noise at home listening to a game on the radio!! that is the morgue it sometimes resembles now. We have deep passion for OUR club, we were the sort of people that for years followed US home and away and helped in our great push to the Prem after so many barren years in the wilderness, constantly barracked by Vile fans, belittled and generally took the P*** ou of, but we always had a go back held our heads high and sang Kro. We will not cross through those turnstiles until the man in charge is gone, we have no problem in supporting the board, but the manager no, never, while we still breath etc. A Vile fan was baiting me not long after relegation and he said, "you really are a joke club, eh? And i could not argue, that hurts. We are the kind of people who now dont go because of the manager, and believe me there are plenty out there. Saying that when we win i am just as chuffed as i always have been and my dad too, we want US promoted,we DID care about the League Cup. We love Blues. But yes, we have deserted you, but dont forget Mr.Sullivan that you might own this club but you are NOT a blues fan, this club will be here long after we all on here have gone, but it will survive, through the supporters, we ARE the club. Its just some of us are not visiting our mecca now because of one man, |

Willie - are you suggesting we should be supporters on Sullivan's terms? I read BornBlues64's post as one from someone who has been alienated by the board's current "give us your money, but keep your opinions to yourself" approach to running the club. No business survives by dictating to its paying customers, and yes - the board look at the fans and supporters of this club and sees them in terms of paying customers. People have tried to be constructive in their criticism, but that criticism has fallen on deaf ears behind a barrage of comments questioning fans' "loyalty". Is it any wonder that an increasing number of customers of this particular business have decided the only way to make their opinion count is to vote with the only thing they have left? The ability to keep their money in their pocket? |

I dont think terms come into it, its just how we feel, who knows in football, the best people in the game look stupid. My dad and i may be totally wrong, he may take Blues back up, might win Fa cups etc, get us into europe etc. If he does so be it, we are basing our judgements on what we have witnessed, a Prem team converted into Coca Cola club, we feel a good manager would easily have avoided it, we would love to be proved wrong . But we feel otherwise and thats that, as i said not saying im right or trying to justify ourselves, we have watched some garbage teams and players down here over the years, last year was the biggest garbage ever, good players turned into muppets overnight, by one man. So even if he does succeed we are not going simple as. We are not fickle, we just dont like the bloke!!! |

No i am not but as i have said many many times i go to support the team, the thing with me is i am not a great beleiver in sentimental sob stories. now at the end of last season i had a choice renew my st or not i chose to renew because i think NOW is when the team will need us most. I agree the attitude of certain members of the management at the club towards its fans is appalling. |

Talk about contradicting yourself. You make out that you are main Blue-Noses we are the club etc etc and you'll be there long after DS has gone, but will you be down at St Andrew's today???????? BCFC comes first not any individual and I'll be there today against Barnsley and the remainder of the season home and away. Enjoy the game in your armchair at home. K R O ! |

Got no probs with the price or anything at the ground whatsoever, thats is not our argument, we just dont think the manager should be here, hes not very good, the whole footballing world knows it, but for some relly weird and strange reason nobodys taking any notice, well that and the compo  |

To be fair, outside of Blues fans you'd be struggling to find many people that are questioning whether Bruce should be in a job. It's hardly as if the likes of Sky, the Beeb (not that they give a toss outside the Prem) and ITV are pointing at Blues and laughing at the ineptitude going on. So I'd disagree on the "whole footballing world" point. |

A couple of sentences stood out for me. "I used to think I was a marketing genius but I'm scratching my head thinking what more can I do? Maketing genius!! Premier prices for championship football. it does not take a lot of working out. "He knew that we needed to make a few changes and since then he has gone for grit rather than flair." Here lies the main problem with SB, the manager that appears unsackable, the only way he can get teams to win games is by playing negative gritty football, every time he has tried to change our style he has given up after a few games when he cant get it to work and I am fed up with watching it. I can accept we are never going to challenge the like of Man U and Arsenal but at least we could try and play attractive football. So we are left watching rubbish every week at probably the most expensive prices in the division. That DS is why the crowds are down. |

In my view Birmingham City Football Club Is now a soulless, money obssesed, greedy corporation. The ground is an embarresment with every squre inch covered in multi coloured advertising, even the bloody strechers!! The facility's are poor by modern standards. Its not entertaining any more, The club i loved years ago seems to have died, the passion is gone, there's no excitement left and the club seems to have lost most of its ambition. I detest people saying the cup's aren't important, whats the point of entering them then. |

I think the whole Board need to have a long hard look at themselves. DS, the PLC chairman, has been 'unable' to attend the last 2 AGM's. This year he and the Golds left KB, who just weeks before had a brain op, to face the fans. In the summer he told us that he knew last October that we would be relegated. Why didn't he act? Why did the Club as a whole do NOTHING in January? If the Board lack drive and to me they appear to; then they should seek a buyer who wants to take the Club forward. Hard to find I know but they must do it because at the moment we're just going nowhere. Jackoblue |
