Martin Taylor is a very good centre half, when he came here first he was played out of position and got some stick for it, fans tended to get on his case after that and i can only recall Willie and myself saying he was a good footballing centre half,HE JUST NEEDED TO BE PLAYED IN THE CORRECT POSITION AND GET A RUN OF GAMES, the same could apply to Julian Grey ,play them in the position that suits them and then give them a run there, they will respond and their confidence will return , it aint rocket science. |

The reception that Gray got today from some so called fans was a disgrace. I hope they are proud of themselves............. I agre about Taylor i have said it for a while. |

Couldn't agree more. Taylor has been solid for a few games now- this seems to coincide with him being played in his favoured position and given a fair chance to settle in. Well done Taylor! :applause: Now...maybe Bruce will learn from this and give players more of a chance in their favoured position. Putting Dannsy on right wing for 15minutes doesn't give the kid a chance. He was a good player before coming to Blues; the lack of tactics from our manager and the Blues fans impatience will see the downfall of a few more players this season. |

I can never see the point of giving our own players a hard time, who is going to benefit? certainly not us! |

Mandy don't you think that some of that impatience is really meant for SB? People are now praising Taylor after he's been given a run in his proper position but as you say yourself people are impatient with Danns who is being played out of position. The same can be said for Gray. To honest I'm surprised that there haven't been more transfer requests from players who are constantly asked to play out of position. |

That's because they're paid a lot of money to do what the manager says |

I do think that alot of this bad feeling is more towards the manager (and rightly so) but this negativity towards our players doesn't benefit anyone because we know our manager and board don't take any notice of the fans anyway. I'm just dismayed to see that our board are so blind to what is happening at our club. 'No soul' is just about right KK!! :( |

And right there you've hit the nail on the head Mandy and you've also identified another reason why some will not go to matches whilst SB is in charge. If you go to the match and cheer the team - the board and manager take it as support for them, so people who still go but want SB out keep quiet, this spreads around the ground and so no atmosphere. What the board and SB have completely lost sight of is that we "the fans" don't support them we support the team. We supported the team before they arrived and we'll support the team after they've left. Why? Because when it comes down to it the heart of BCFC (or any other football club) is it's fans because without the fans there'd be no BCFC. |

Does that coincide with him being made captain of the side, keep him I say and let DJ just go back to being the player he is. |

Taylor has been in fine form this season, one thing I like about him is he brings the ball down and plays it along the ground, even going on a little run aswell. I would just like him to be a bit more assertive and attack the ball a bit better in challenges. |

Hmmm, not sure I agree with that. He seems to me to be very sound defensively, which makes him a top centre half at this level. I'm far from convinced by him with the ball at his feet tho - some embarassing first touches! |

Yup, agree with you totally Willie :applause: I have been as frustrated as anyone at his reluctance to tackle and get stuck in at times, but at this level and played in his right position, he is still potentially a massive asset, and one of only 2 genuine wide players at the club. If I were him I would be out the door in January to go and start again somewhere the fans appreciate him :( |
