My player ratings -

Maik Taylor - 7 - Not much to do, only had to make one save, good catching.

Kelly - 8 - Sound game, kept their left winger frozen out of the game.

Jaidi - 7 - Had an OK game, excellent heading. Looks better with Martin Taylor each game. Nervy towards end.

Martin Taylor - 9 - Excellent game, cleared up everything and was fantastic in the air. Marshalled the entire back line. MotM.

Sadler - 7 - Defensively sound, made some good runs forward. Has no crossing ability at all.

Larsson - 7 - Maturing each game, made some great inter-link play with Bendtner and had an assist. Slightly suspect with his passing.

Clemence - 8 - Very strong in the centre of the park. Helped ease pressure on the back line by making good tackles. Helped by the prescene of Muamba. Not much of a threat going forwards.

Muamba - 9 - Outstanding performance. Ran and ran, often creating good opportunities for others. Needs to have a shot from distance.

McSheffery - 5 - Wasn't there except for the goal. Was anonymous for the majority of the game. Didn't improve much when put up front.

Jerome - 8 - Showed glimpses of why he was bought. Very physically strong and quick. Still needs to work on his positional sense and first touch.

Bendtner - 5 - The worst he's played in a Blues' shirt. Didn't look to win back the second balls at all, and had no end product. As they say, 'The higher you fly, the harder you fall'.

Subs -

Nafti - N/A - Not enough time

Danns - 7 - Wasn't on long, but took his goal well. Brought some vigour to the side.

DJC - N/A - Not enough time

Bendtner didn't play well, however he had an assist for both goals. So I give him a 6 along with McSheffers. Muamba was awesome.

I'd agree with these ratings, but I'd give Larsson an 8, he has a brilliant passing range. I'd give Jerome a 7, he tries hard enough but he was pretty isolated sometimes when the ball was played long to him, which means he loses out.

Those ratings seem spot on but, in defence of McCheffrey, I don't know how many people noticed him holding his shoulder near the end of the first half. This followed the clattering he got from a Barnsley player. I think that following this challenge he was not really 100% fit. He was on the other side of the pitch to me in the second half, so I couldn't tell if it was still affecting him then.

He seemed to be lacking his usual burst of pace yes.
