What is the problem ? What exactly do you want ?

Is it revenue or is it attendances?

If you want attendances to rise, then you need to seriously analyse why they have fallen. And not just settle for anecdotal evidence about cost, the manager or results. They may all have a bearing, but to varying degrees I would imagine.

If you want the revenue to rise, then you need to seriously question the kind of marketing we have experienced in recent years, and see if there is a fault in it.

Asking people to stay away is simply mind-numbing, as is calling the attendance figures a disgrace, without examining the underlying reasons.

Both those comments seem to be an attack upon a section of fans - this time the "missing" fans. Perhaps you need to enter into a dialogue with them, instead of assuming their reasons.

Midland Red- I think you bring up a good point. Our board have criticised their own fans without really looking into what the problem is. I think there are numerous reasons like you and others have suggested (too expensive, not in the premiership anymore, the 'bleeding the fans dry' attitude of the commercial department, the poor football/manager etc) but they need to look into it more formally if they are really going to find solutions.

They'll all be back in force next year when Man Utd and Chelsea come to town though.

You should support your club through thick and thin. So shame on those people who are staying away just because of our current position.

SHAME ON YOU.

as an ex season ticket holder for more years than i remember i made a stand this year and decided with the other four members of my family not to renew.having made this painful decision i set myself a £25 limit to attend home games and have not regretted it.the club have to realize there is a limit to everyone's finances and the cost of five adult season tickets is a major expense in anyones eyes. the next issue is the football itself take yesterday for instance ok we got 3 points but can anyone say they came out of the game feeling happy with the quality of football witnessed - maybe im hard to please but i enjoyed the away game at coventry twice as much. i will of course continue to go down st a's but as a previous posting said the enthusiasm is waning and that is a worry. anyway i suppose if i was a baggies fan id be a lot more unhappy apparently playing good football and losing. oh well we'll all still be there at the end of the road i dare say.
