That the debates on this forum conitually deterorate into arguments.

I feel that we need to make an effort to draw ourselves together, to unite and to stop fractionalising.

United we stand devided we fall, we need to stop bickering and find some common ground. That common ground is Blues and the fact we all, pro bruce or anti, want Blues to win.

So come on get behind them and leave the debates to the closed seasons!

Spliters!

I'm all for the debate Mr Bear. As long as it is fresh and invigorating.
I think, that if you read properly, you will find that it is the sniping and use of sarcasm and ridicule, (fine examples in today's selection ) - that triggers the decline.

I have yet to read anything from the regular critics of the manager, the tactics or the spirit of the team, that indicates that they are not blues fans.

I have read a lot, unfortunately, from many who claim to be "the true blues fans" that makes me question their motive in trying to divide, sectionalise or fragment support.

Possibly a case of ego over riding the common good.

Care to point them out. but we should be careful not to use it as an excuse to try and remove anything that unbalances the debate.

im all for putting pressure on the manager if we arent getting good results, and believe me i wanted brucie out like the rest of us when the results turned, but the fact is now ive got nothing to moan about and neither has anybody else because were winning games.
get real a wins a win regardless of how we get it, lets all just take a reality check here, were birmingham city supporters, if you wanted regular silverware support man united or chelsea.
were blues fans this is our lot for better or worse and in my opinion were doing bloody well at the moment, but i suppose all the stay aways will be coming to the promotion party when it comes around, no doubt youll all be cheering the squad on the victory lap as we celebrate as champions.

as ive already said ive not been brucies biggest fan, but if he wants to keep serving me large portions of humble pie when ive had a moan about him, then ill gladly eat it by the platefull warm cold with cream whatever, just keep the 3 points coming.

I am not saying don't debate. But I am saying that there are certain people on both sides of the fence that turn debate into argument and arguments help no one.

So I am asking those protagonist involved to find some common ground and unite AND to leave the debates till later.

Bear you are quite correct hence admins post about goading of other users.
debate is fine and welcomed provoking and abusing others will result in the offending accounts being restricted and posts removed.

Would you call this goading, rhetoric.....certainly doesn't add to the discussion does it Willie ?

I would if that it what it was but in your haste to get a dig in at me you failed to read 54's post where he says he did not go to the game. so where is the problem? how can he make a judgement without seeing the game?

Did i say that? think not so back to the drawing board Patti. then you may see it was actually said by Tilton 15.

And just so we are clear on this this is what he actually said.

Will NEVER NEVER get behind the manager (Bruce) as long as he is at Blues ... BCFC yes get behind the club ... BUT the way we are playing etc now thats down to the manager. Till Bruce leaves this matter will NOT go away. Also why if we are doing well (yes 2/3 in league) are we not have 'full house', why not 20000 S/T, could it be people are p***ed of with the manager & the type of football Blues are playing?
Bruce Out now

I couldn't agree more Bear. I love this forum and really enjoy debating all things Blue, but the personal sniping is spoiling things a little at the moment.

Having a good debate is really good, you get to see everyones opinions about things and it can give you a different outlook on other things **thumbup. But when as you say it deteriates into 'Im a better Blues fan than you' it just sort of ruins the atmosphere :(

P.S. im sure that there is a joke about Mass Debating in here somewhere

Debating is good. Lets you know what other people think, their opinions.
Gives you a bigger view.
Debating about who is the bigger fan is just childish!

Thank you Willie. You are absolutely correct, you will not get an apology from me.
:D

There is absolutely no point in asking people to give proof of things, as if you intend to be impartial, only to then further hijack the thread by long and expansive self-justifications.

Considering that we had a directive about goading posted by Admin, in the last 14 days: it doesn't matter how long or where people see Blues to form an apinion, your intervention was goading, friend.

We should all live by the same rules.
