Happiness Is When?

After reading this board for quite a while now (months not years) I would like to ask the question "when will we be happy"?
Will it be when SB goes as many would like, and would the new manager be any better?. Is it enough just to hang around mid table in the Prem, playing the top teams but going nowhere, lets face it, it would take huge investment to break into the top 6 consistently and that is not going to happen in the near future IMO. The point of my posting is, many people on here criticise others for not having ambition and for wasting money on average football overseen by an average manager, now call me weird but I still get a thrill every time I walk through the turnstiles (even after 40 odd years) at St A's.
As we were relegated last season, my tearful daughter said to me"We will still have our season ticket next year , won't we"? Yes, Prem, Championship or 1st Div, boring, unambitious Swiftylad will still be there! KRO **thumbup

and people will actually blame you for being directly responsible for our current plight as you don't have raging ambitions to be the best!!
if you accept second best you deserve second best the theory goes. whereas to me it seems you support your club 100% through thick and thin - but i think the definition of the word "supporter" has been changed or suspended for the purposes of this forum....good luck to you and your daughter.. **thumbup

Such is "happiness" where a football fan is, i think the answer is never, when you look at the papers and listen to the media even at times Chelsea fans complain , Man Utd fans complain, Barcelona fans complain, so true happiness for a football fan never comes, because our teams dont win all the time.

As for just being happy walkng through the turnstiles to watch your team, i think that is brilliant.

When Mike Newell is manager. This guy has a decent track record and seems to be a good coach as well
