I'm your average football fan, loves the blues, watches youth games and sees kids who i'd love blues to sign but to be honest, can never really be arsed to do anything thinking people wouldn't take any notice. But 2nite i saw an 11year old who has more talent than i've seen before and isn't singed to a club. Who do i contact?? I dont want anythin out of this!! I just want this kid at blues. Who do i contact??

The person that you want is:
Richard Stevens
Assistant Academy Manager.
He is responsible for that age group. I don't know a direct contact but -

e-mail

julia.shelton@bcfc.com

and explain that you would like to refer a person to Richard, and how can you contact him?

Don't tell anyone else. Don't speak to anyone else. And if a bloke with a cockney accent phones you, tell him you've moved :D

Good luck. **thumbup

i have worked with young lads and lassies for years and in my experience if this lad is good enough he will get noticed by clubs,
clubs are usually on the ball these days as are the parents.
one word of warning though ,the standard clubs are looking for these days are very high so maybe what you might consider very good is sometimes not good enough when the clubs come calling,it can become very frustrating.but good luck to the lad .hope he makes it.

I recommended a 9 year old last year (luckily they took my advice lol) but was told then that at 9, it is quite late to be picked up. but give them the details to the club and fixture list and they will get a scout along

Scouts move in mysterious ways and are always at games and if as good as you say i am sure he has been watched. My son has just been scouted and is on trial the baggies (beggars cant be choosers) and he was at a game that no knew he was at

9 years old to old! Can you believe it!!!!

I know a lad who's dad has turned them all down, blues, viler, wolves, baggies and walsall. his dad looked at the contract and stuff but oppted out when it stated you have to ask the club if he is allowed to go out and play on his bike! plus not allowed to have a kick around in the park with mates, cant play for his school and cant play for his club, i agree with that one but try telling your 9 year old lad he cant play on his bike.
