Let's face it, if he was any good he wouldn't be going to Lincoln would he?

C'mon, it's not hard to work out.

Matt Birley is a decent player and will do a good job for you. He is not ready for our first team yet and this experience will do him the world of good.

However, it is the other player who has gone out on loan today who you really should have gone for. Nick Wright has moved to Northampton Town, and he is a player who really excites me. He could be a real star of the future.

Aye, we've definately missed Eaden. Every City fans happy he's back on loan. Is talk of him signing permanently in January as it seems he has no future at Nott'm Forest.

Shall let you guys know as to how Birley plays during the month on loan at us!! Sounds like a decent young player. Hopefully he'll make a positive impact!!

You've only signed Nicky Eaden for financial reasons as Real Madrid did with Beckham. He looks like Gail's husband/ex husbad??? out of Coronation Street and your board are hoping to make some money out of hiring him out as a celebrity double.

On your logic Bendtner, Muamba and Larson are useless.

Wright is a very powerful fast striker who ius progressing well. Birley can be good, but needs to extend himself a bit more, and become consistent.

Try to ignore the 'if it's anything to do with Blues, it must be rubbish' brigade. They are just our set of depressives, they write on here as a part of their treatment.

Some views from our Messageboard on him ...

Quote:

Birley however was totally different and for me was man of the match.
He gave us an added optoion down the right wing, and on several occasions he was stood out all on his own waiting for the ball..If only the rest of the team had seen him.
He had pace as well.Especially in the second half,he had the beating of their left back every time.
I`m sure he`ll be a valuable member of the squad over the christmas period.
Yesterday was only one game, but on that performance i cant see Birmingham letting him stay long term at Sincil Bank.

I would tend to agree thought Birley had a good first game both when he had the ball + some of his tackles stood out in a midfield that seemed unable to put the foot in enough, not helped i suppose by a ref who only seemed to see fouls one way.

i thought he played well, was quick used the ball well and fitted in but was unlucky at times

All in all, from what i've gathered about saturdays game ... he was our MOTM and had a cracking debut. Shame we recorded yet another loss!!

Shall find more quotes when i've got time to do so ...
