David Sullivan has a 4.9% stake in West Ham which he is selling to the new owners for around  £4.1m. It stems from before the Blues takeover when he and the Gold's wanted to buy the hammers.

So could be something in the kitty for January. :applause:

Why would it end up in the BCFC kitty?

His investment in West Ham is a personal thing, nothing to do with BCFC so why should we get the money?

i don't agree - surely we all give our little windfalls to bcfc don't we? don't we???
the amount of moaning on here about the owners not putting money in, yet i bet nobody on here donates money..

So, when David Gold sold out his Airline recently, should we have expected him to pour that money into Blues?
Why does anyone expect his proffits to be ploughed into Blues? Just because it is a football business this time. The logic escapes me.

Mr Sullivan has also said that he is not going to bankrupt his son's future because blues fans want more signings.

He would need to spend hundreds of millions to bankrupt his kids and nobody has suggested that. What he actually said was that he didn't see why he should spend (any of) his kid's inheritence on the club. That's pretty much the same as saying that he would rather be worth £700m in the cemetry than to spend £20m on blues and to only leave £680m behind when he goes. Either way his kids are hardly going to be bankrupt are they ?

Fair enough if they have no love for the club and so don't want to spend a fraction of their enormous wealth to help the club, but I just get sick of hearing what great owners we've got.

The money he gets from the sale is his money to do what he likes. It amazes me how people can question such a successful businessman
