Ticket Prices For Luton; ...what is your range?

Ticket Prices.

It's probably too early for information from Admin, but I'm looking at the Luton match.

December 29th - a Friday evening. And on SKY.

Now what is the reasoning that will go on here in determining prices?

Luton has slipped or rather dived from contenders to strugglers since one of their players had a heart attack on the way to a game and Newell went off his trolley, all in 10 days. They are no longer going to be an attractive fixture ( it will take them at least 5 straight wins to get back in the top eight.)

Will you go, and support Blues on a Friday night?
Will you go to the pub instead and watch it there?
Or stay at home and watch it or follow it?

Most importantly, what price, for an unattractive fixture, on an unattractive day, at an unattractive time....what price ticket would you pay to attend?

And how many ST people will miss it ( and therein reduce your advantage) ?

Its a difficult one, this.

<_<

Yeah but most people will be off work around that time so if the prices aren't riduculous (around £15-20) we should sell over 20,000.

if the prices ar'nt something like that then i think it's back to the pavilion for the board.

Right. I've not made my mind up, have quite a trek and its the Friday thing that made me first start thinking. With money being tight just after Christmas, a nothing fixture ( sorry Luton), and the Sales starting next day :D
I don't know.

But I think that with the special offers we've already had etc, the Season Ticket holders, if they miss it, will be looking at a greatly reduced proffit for being St's.

I can see this game having the lowest attendance of the season. 10,000 is my guess.

I think there are more season ticket holders than that. so unless a fair few of then decide not to turn up. it won't be that low.

Having serious doubts about it myself.
Need the Coventry train and then more public transport - on a Friday night before Christmas - no buses, I bet - taxis full up and fights on every street corner with a pub. And thats before I get to New Street. :o

Thats exactly what I am thinking, Its inbetween crimbo and new year, family cosiderations, sky coverage etc. I can seriously see this being an embarresment.

Don't follow you Mr Bear
Are you still saying less than 10,000 as you suggested, or more as Willie suggested?
I would go with a very low gate, and many STs giving it a wide berth.
For the reasons that you mentioned, plus the trouble with transport and such, as mentioned earlier. (Although Canadian brummie said that was humbug.)

One idea, if they can't go too silly in the cut-price area is to give vouchers for the FA Cup 3rd round (if we are at home) for priority booking.

Am i missing something but why will there be a problem with buses & trains running on the 29th December?

They shut down on Christmas Day and Boxing Day but they do run after then.

I will be going as I am a season ticket holder anyway, however the game should be kids for a quid and adults for a fiver, and then I can still only see around 18-20k.

InterCity/Virgin trains are awful on Fridays, that I know for a fact. Actually they are miserable
