One player that i think we should go for is the right winger who played for wolves in the recent derby. Absolute quality and made sadler look an absolute mug. Quite young aswell i think.

Without doubt Billy Sharp...just 22 or so and has scored over 49 goals in 88 odd games or close to that number...1.5 millino should do the trick.

This league offers chances to managers to blood younger players, because its easier to leave an impact on a game at this level, so maybe going for some slightly less well known players, it may pay off if they go from strength to strength in the championship?

Two words.......Billy Sharp.

Have been saying to friends/family for a few weeks, that we should definately have a go with Sharp, and when I was watching Soccer Saturday and heard his stats from Jeff Stelling, something like 46 goals in 89 matches. I know its lower tiers of English football, but surely he will be worth it, people are saying go for Eastwood, but this lad has an equal, if not better, record, and would come a lot cheaper than Eastwood

I'll probably get moaned at for saying this but I don't think we should sign anybody!

We have a good enough team for us to get up. Buying in January would waste some money on 'Championship players' (we wont attract Premiership ones, not good ones anyway).

Waiting untill July when we are promoted will ensure that we can attract those premiership players and spend money on them.

I read in the paper the other day that Fulham are after Clint Dempsey, we should go for him, he could be our answer to the RM slot, well worth a shout.

Bendtner. Otherwise we are down to DJ & CJ for the second half of the season.

If we can't secure him (with the problems the gooners are having).
Earnshaw - and break the bank to get him this time.

:)

I'm sure it said somewhere last week that we have definitely got Bendtner for the rest of the season.

Can anyone confirm this please?? I did'nt imagine it, honest

Bendtner is here for the remainder of the season, And if reports in the press can be believed he may consider staying beyond this season on a permanent basis if and when we are promoted.

What about Greg Halford at Colchester, young Defender LB I think, looking like a very good prospect, I reckon he might be worth a look.

I would be very surprised if we signed him on a permanent basis, he has got to be worth £10million at least. Arsenal won't let him go to anyone without coming up with some serious cash.

Totally agree.

We need to save the money as the players that we will buy in January won't be good enought for the Premiership, therefore it would be a waste of money.

We can easily win this league with the players we have now, so we shouldleave the squad as it as they are gelling really well at the moment

Good news willie. **thumbup
But I've seen nothing on the main board yet, all I know about it is what was in the papers saying he could stay for the year - nothing to say it was agreed like.
Or that he'd actually signed for another 6 months. I may have missed it man, but if not I'd make him my priority in January.

feed.back We should go for some good players in the Football League...there are plenty of good talents there.

Considering we are £4.5 million up on summer transfer dealings, have saved £15 million on wages and have parachute payment of £6 million, it would be a crime not to try for the best goalscorer in the division, David Nugent. To do nothing or bring in has been loans would be a disaster. I hope the board have learned their lesson from the last January transfer window. We need three or four additions with a striker and a wide player with pace a priority

Why do we have this culture of buying players every six months?

Don't we have a manager that can utilise and organise these players?

Do you all think that the players we've got aren't good enough? Why do we need more ?
