http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/mail/b...-name_page.html Does he really think we're all idiots? he tells us that there are things that "fans don't know about" blah, blah, blah. Yes we do know about add-ons to releasing players, buying players that are not included etc.. However, we were promised that when we were relegated, all money from players sold would be made available for new players. Now, if we're £5m overdrawn at the bank and so on (I do believe him in this by the way) why were we told that all the signings we made in the summer were paid for by selling Pennant. If there's no money then Brucie should be told as much and we should be attempting to bring through our youngsters or touting Upson to everyone. Maybe I'm wrong but the club should cut it's cloth accordingly. And another thing. Baring the cup tie, the last two home matches have had very few empty seats in the home ends. or amd I wrong in that? KRO |

In his statement it is quoted: Although that figure is virtually identical to the average the last time Blues were playing their football at this level (21,978), when prices were CHEAPER, it has been a source of annoyance to the co-owner. It's not our fault that players are now holding clubs to ransom with their wages, now is it? |

Sullivan is great. He shoots straight from the hip and doesn't give a flying toss. What makes me chuckle is the fans who are scandalized and offended by what he says. Sensitive souls, footie fans. Honestly. You'd think Sully had just insulted their mothers! lol |

Don't worry David, if and hwen we go back up, the richer fair-weather fans will come back. The Gold Suite will be heaving with suits and hairspray again. Your marketing crowd can sit back and watch their puerile efforts roll the dosh in David. In the meantime, clubs like Wigan have slashed their prices for all their home games. If we did that, and ensured that the ST's were compensated, you'd have your full ground............NOW. You'd have people realising that the special deal meant they could go more than just once or twice. They could budget for a second or third or fourth visit if they KNEW that it would only cost £10-15 a time. At the moment your "special offers" are just one-offs that may not happen again if the person is too old or the wrong sex. £29 is a big lump if you are on low wages, benefits or unemployed. It wouldn't get you from your mansion to Northampton David - actually it is you that drives us to despair. |

You're entitled to your opinion. He hasn't insulted our mothers but I do feel (my opinion only of course) that he insults the intelligence of Blues fans in general with his tirade. Or should I not care? KRO |

we knew that playing hoofball to heskey would get us relegated at least six months before he did < < He is exasperated because he doesn't understand football fans & he has a commercial dept who are useless. "Doing deals on tickets" isn't the way develop & sustain a healthy fanbase. |

Especially if there is little rhyme or reason to them. Consistent low prices will help get those on low income to come consistently to St Andrews. **thumbup Agree 100% mate. |

the commercial department brings in more than us the fans if you believe whats written,i got slated on here for questioning that part of the club but no matter what do i know im only a supporter. Mr sullivan and the golds this isnt a plea to spend your own money just simply operate this aspect of your business portfolio as you do the rest Make it the best that it can be and do not continuosly make backpage headlines that just smack of pure hypocrisy. |

sorry if I upset a few on here but why should sullivan and gold spend their money on the club if the 'fans' wont? i read and hear the same old excuses week in week out and to be honest its getting tedious now... if you don't go then thats your choice but please can the people who dont go the games not moan about the club not spening, beause in all honesty you haven't an arguement IMO |

Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick here but I never said they should. We should be utilising the resources at the club's disposal or selling salable assets in order to buy. KRO |

Poppycock jassy. You are telling us what TO WRITE OR POST? Do you want an attendance register that we have to sign before we express an opinion? Will you refrain from any comment about England, the Test matches or women, if you haven't been there or done it :D |

sorry mate sort of highjacked your thread a bit as getting sick of reading that the owners should dip in their own pockets when fans wont do the same!! you are right about the club using the money in the right way... IMO dunn, forsell, grey should be sold to raise the finances |

Well Sullivan needs to realise we are in a Premiership hangover. Some people are still very peeved off with last season, and the way things went on. This including the board raising the white flag in Jan. Some fans have lost confidence, and when prices are not enticing for the fans, they will stay away. What was Derby's average attendance following relegation when they went down? What was Sheffield Wednesday's? What is the Albion's? |

jassyblue i go so can i continue to have my say please. The hypocrisy is annoying from mr sullivan, its all headline garbage and Birmingham City F.C is the one aspect of his portfolio that gives him credibility. My appeal is that the hypocrisy stops and that they pay the same respect to the club as they do to other businesses within their empire. when supermarkets banned his paper he appealed to blues fans to boycott the supermarkets.......!!!!!!! |

I can see what your saying... and I'm sorry I know I will hit a nerve with some, which is why I apologised at the beginning… but how can people who wont shed out £25 (not those who can’t I am talking about the people who openly state it’s a choice) expect someone to splash a few million? With falling attendances what argument have us fans got… yes thousands of us still attend, but the club will argue that season ticket revenue has already gone etc… I like others were gutted on Saturday at the attendance and I understand that people are skint… but I do think that the club are right about the stay away fans who are doing it through choice… like a few have said I’m sure numbers will swell when we get up ;) As for your references suggested, been there and done it if you pardon the expression :P |

Do you think that the high prices is the only reason the gates have fallen?maybe some fans have just got fed up of the very poor standard of football that has been played for the last few seasons,if i want to watch my centerhalf hoof the ball up to my striker i can walk to the local park on a sunday morning, and that costs nowt.My own view is that there is money to spend but Sully does not trust Bruce.so expect to see Stern John at the club very soon. |

sullivan doesnt trust anyone to fritter away his childrens inheritance......only he can trust himself and will happily go and pay £2million for a striker without consulting the manager. are we to believe that BCFC has no assets at all ? |

How can we be £5 million overdrawn? I'm sure the bank won't mind as David Sullivan and the Golds credit rating might be a bit better than most. Can't see them ringing Phil Tuffnall up, can you - happy days! Agree with other posters......expect to see Stern John here now any time. Don't agree that he doesn't trust Bruce with the money. If he didn't trust him, he would have sacked him by now. He trusts Bruce to get us up on the cheap. |

I know my first post what a bit hard but I’m sorry the apathy I read and hear around the city concerns me! I don’t think that this situation will just put it self right if we don’t get up this season (I think we will but IF) will we see a continued fall in attendances? I said at the start of the season and even contacted the club about reducing the prices for those who couldn’t afford the price of a season ticket or chose not to pay the high prices… I raised my concerns I didn’t just moan about it in the pub or on a message board!! I have a fear for this club and football in general, the prices are too high, so the club drop them and still fans stay away!! So the club keep the high prices to ensure costs are met by those who are prepared to pay it… It’s a vicious cycle |
