Could we have a nostalgia section please?
Especially for people wanting to go back down memory lane to 1997 or 1989/

We could also have an older section for us geraitrics that can remember all the way back to Jeff Hall.

If you have one, please don't call it the Nostalgia Section

I'm in my thirties and I'm a mature student at Uni, but because I can remember being at Hillsborough against Fulham, seeing Trevor's last match and watching Barry Fry being introduced by Karren...... I know thats a long time before lots of current users of this Forum were born, but it isn't Nostalgia to me, its like yesterday or the day before.

I wouldn't like to think I'm in the same section as people who saw Pickering or Harry Hibbs.

PS
Could you call it Yesterday ?

"Memory lane - All our Yesterday's"

Thats fine. what do other people think ?
I'd personally prefer no reference to memory, or age - but thats just me

Garrison Lane - Blues History?

I think it would be good to build up a transcript of an oral history of blues.

I know we'll have the odd pedant argueing about who took which free kick in 1953, but in terms of background oral history, I think it would be great.
Hope you can do it Hirsts. I can contribute tons of being a 10 year old watching Pejic kick Trevor in his chest. And nobody seeing it because there was a hurrican blowing at Stoke and I was with my brother and uncle the only people out of the stands, right by the touchline where Pejic crippled Trev.

And suchlike. I'm a mine of biased information

:D

I feel really ancient now, because I saw Pickering.

But I didn't see Hibbs. :crying: :crying: :crying:

I saw Fred P as well, when I was a kid.

And I have an uncle who met Harry H once, and he said he was only short as himself. About 5' 9" or even 5' 8".

There you go.

Good idea to catalogue and get everyone's recollections down. We could even get a CD out of it in years to come. We don't even have to limit it to matches, but to people we met, highlights and players, officials etc.

It could be a living archive that little sproggy bluenoses in 50 years time would be proud to listen to or read.
