I definitely flipped out ( "no" ) when I heard we were interested in bringing in Stern John back but I would consider signing Geoff Horsfield on a loan deal ....I believe 'The Horse' is being released by Sheffield United and I haven't heard anything of him moving to another club yet

'The Horse' could fill in for injured or suspended strikers and can also play in the centre back role.......actually at Old Trafford v ManYoo he did a pretty decent job

We all know 'The Horse' loves the Blues and the Blues fans.........how about it ??....just short term mind

I don't know but Celtic talk to EVERYONE don't they ??

Problem is most people can't understand a word Gordon Strachan says .....I know I can't ..I have to switch the closed captioning on

i'd love Geoff back at the club but i can't see it happening. He's a legend here in my eyes. Your right Partisan he would do a great job if he was needed. :banner:

The Horse is a legend but I wouldn't want to see him back.

I didn't want him to leave but since he has left he has hardly set the World alight. He wasn't good enough to stay at Albion and Sheff Utd don't want him for whatever reason.

Doesn't sound good.

I'd rather remember The Horse we all know and love rather than see him return and have it all turn sour. The boo boys would soon jump on his case and it would ruin the legend.

Before we were promoted some people were already losing patience with him. They were saying he wasn't good enough and we should sell. Then he scored at Cardiff and we went up. He scored against vile which secured legend status and the rest, as they say, is history.

I love The Horse as a player and I want to remember him the way it was.

I wish him all the best wherever he ends up and if it is at St Andrews then I am sure he'll do a great job getting us promoted.

I heard a rumour that he was allegedly improving his relations with the board, particularly KB?

i think this is a good shout, i think most blues fans would be happy to see him back for a while (6 months) still a good strike cover.

Let Legends remain the Stallions that they were, instead of making them look like old nags moments from the glue factory.

I keep making this point, let's keep our memories of players like Geoff and accept that no matter how good they once were, they are now past it and are not the sort of players we should even be considering. He is 'yesterday', we need to look for 'tomorrow'.

Good shout Partisan.

He's a far, far better shout than Stern John. The Horse until the end of the season would be ideal. We don't have the sort of player who can hold the ball up - Horse would give us this option. I'm not advocating his permanent signing, but a short loan deal would suit both parties. He's also a top man to have around. Maybe Sheffield United would take Julian Gray off our hands whilst we're at it **thumbup

The Horse is a great guy and a legend of a player.

However he left because he liked one two many :drink: and I can't see him coming back under Steve Bruce.

so we sign nobody else and at the 11th hour ... we have a choice of

1) the Horse
2) Stern John
3) neither

what would you want?

Neither of those two. I don't see the point in desperation signings.

So how about getting rid of Bruce and making 'The Horse' the manager

Even a sloshed bricklayer would probably be more tactically aware than 'Wor Genius '........plus the pitch would have been laid in time

Tin hat time :silence: :silence:

Legs have gone and Stern would score more goals. Shame we are talking about players who were in their heyday four, five years ago rather than us trying to sign the Nugents, Halfords, Jones of this world
