does anyone ACTUALLY know any news about the BIG SCREEN or NOT !!

The big screen is definitely happening in the near future, but there isn't a specific date yet. I'm told we should have details by the end of next week. One change is that the screen will now be above the players' tunnel between the Main Stand and the Railway.

Thanks Admin.

That is where I was told it would begoing a few weeks ago and that is why there are problems with running in cables across the roof of the Main Stand. (apparently anyway)

Years ago, when Fry was still with us, we were told by SUllivan that he had planned to have 2 screens hanging from the roof of the Tilton and the Railway which would cost £100k. (£50k each)

At that time we were told that he would rather spend the money on team building.

If they would have put any screens on the roof at that time, why can't we have the same now? The screen won't be seen by most fans in the Main Stand because of the angle.

The club should hold back with statements until things are certain in the future.

Wouldn't a giant screen TV hanging from the Railway end obscure the view of those in the Olympic Gallery?

No they were going to be scoreboards not TV screens.

They would have been mch smaller. Similar to the ones at the old Wembley Stadium.

It seems that if it is between the Railway and the Main Stand,
that surely puts any near future development of the Main into doubt.
If not killed off completely.

To think that it would be anyway else but between the Kop and Shed is farcical IMO. I wonder if someone will address the issue of the issue floodlight possiobly obscuring.

Is there a close relationship with BCFC and the Labour Govt. Spin springs to mind to start with; secondly autocratic management style where those in power make ill-informed decisions without thr full facts before implementing them and those that know best can't feel that they can question them.

Did the groundsman have a say in the pitch relaying project? Has the stadium maintenance manager been consulted over the screen project. Did Marketing plan the 100 year celebration and was the action plan imposed on them?

Just my rant. No evidence, just conjecture.

I can look silly on my own thanks. :) Who would you have suggested I talked to differently - bearing in mind that the person who gave me the information was one of the most senior people at the club and also involved with the decision making process at every stage, as well as all the meetings concerning where it was going to be sited?

Why don't you just blame Tony Blair like the rest of your Tory mates.

I like the idea of it being over the tunnel but is there not a great big flood light pole in the way, Especially from Block 13 of the Tilton !!!
